The United States is the largest Oil Producer in the World, by far, so when oil prices go up, we make a lot of money. BUT, of far greater interest and importance to me, as President, is stoping an evil Empire, Iran, from having Nuclear Weapons, and destroying the Middle East and, indeed, the World. Another Trump lie! We are NOT huge exporter of oil! We use our oil. And "WE" do not make "$$".... the oil industry makes it! I don't know how much of your thoughts are correct but there's something there possibly. Trump has done what other presidents know (and want) needs to be done when you have a major country funding terrorist organizations and spreading fear and radicalism throughout the entire region.

The main reason these other presidents didn't want to do what he's done though is their fear of the Strait being used a s a pinch point by Iran...which they're doing and will affect oil transportation. And it's not "see? this is really about war for oil!!!" The truth is our entire society on earth is about oil. Every industry runs on oil or because of oil.

Not forgetting several billion other people who drive cars and farm equipment and a few thousand hospitals worldwide and then there is the small matter if industry, aviation, transport and a hundred other things.

So, a handful of US oil companies may benefit financially. As is their due, according to some words written a year ago -

"Your" refineries, on average, use like 15% of shale oil (the one you extract) and the rest is imported. "You" have to pay for that sour crude, would've been nice to have good ties with canada right now huh.

I simply don't understand how the US is with people like this at the top of the world, do you know that China, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and many other countries have 70% of the population that needs oil, every shortfall in global production raises the price of oil, the demand is huge, especially in that part of the world and oil is jumping, which creates huge inflation, and you say how much oil there is now, that has nothing to do with ordinary citizens of the world because it increases transportation to be twice as expensive, so that everything that cost 1 dollar will cost 2 dollars, demand in the world determines the price, not how much who has.
