It’s pretty apparent that Iran isn’t going to give up its goal of nuclear grade uranium ; if this is the line in the sand for the US administration then it’s a foregone conclusion that an attack of sorts is inevitable .

Both parties now playing for time and strategic advantage

Trump boasted he had destroyed Irans nuke capability. All BS...they bombed a mountain and may have delayed the inevitable. Iran has no choice but to dash for nukes, or they are over. While Isreal have nukes Iran must have nukes. Mutually assured destruction is probably the only way to get 'peace' in the middle east.

The problem is we have fundamentalists in Iran and Isreal with their finger on the trigger (and a loose cannon in the states). Even a cold war might be fairly hot!

What are donny and pals going to do? Shock and awe? Look at a map and it's clear that this is going to be the biggest challenge the US has had in the middle east. Massive land mass, secured by vast mountain ranges. I just don't see how the US win this (Isreal could come out as winners, while destroying Trump and the GOP).

No one seems to be talking about the Iranian people who have suffered under the fanaticism of these supposed "holy men." These hypocrites call everyone an infidel yet the only ones that applies to is themselves. Well said the Savior: on the outside they have the appearance of whitened sepulchers but inwardly are full of dead men's bones.

Tbh, seems like Iran is placating Trump.
Trump didn't even say what he is going to do in his state of union speech. His saying that Iran hasn't pledged to making nukes and is making missiles to reach US was kinda lackluster. More like a guy complaining than an angry guy ready to pounce. No determination or war posture in his voice. It's like he has been worn down by his generals or something.

Anyone remembers the tone of Bush jr. Just before he attacked Iraq? Trump doesn't have that decided sound.

Unlike you I hope it happens. The only way to get rid of ISIS was to bomb the crap out of them. The only way to get rid of the Ayatollahs also is by bombing them. If he doesn't, he gets to live with a stronger, more weaponized fundamentalist that everyone will feel even more across the globe but will have to tolerate forever.

Iran bombed ISIS because they were even more of an Islamist terrorist gang than the Ayatollahs. Trump right now is in the same predicament. If he allows the mass murderer Ayatollahs to keep existing and becoming stronger, using his logic, he will have created the Ayatollahs. Let's see if Trump recreated the Mullas again by doing nothing.
