It just a reminder to everyone that intervention happen when you are least expected.
It take out all the Stoploss that just under this week low.

This was sell stop hunting believe it or not. One has to look for clues. CHF/JPY dipped below 200 and EUR/JPY dipped below 185. GBP/JPY didn't activate 215 shorts. This was expected to happen.

Also, key thing to note is, while this was an intervention, this isn't what we're waiting for. In the past we had moves like this as well, 100 pips drops to trigger sell stops and then force them to close the position. This is deliberately done to destroy shorts before real intervention. Also, real intervention is never this quick. During full scale intervention price is dropping yes, but not this quick. There's a difference. I know because I witnessed two of them in the past (2022).

However, this isn't what I expected from Japan. They are wasting time that they don't have and could cause debt market meltdown with their stupidity of keeping JPY weak. Then, there'll be hell to pay.

Yes. That's because the JPY strengthened for a brief moment. When you return the currency its purchasing power (even in relative terms, against other currencies), it consequently takes less of that currency to buy the same stuff. This is what central bankers do not seem to understand. To return the purschasing power to the currency, you have to have rates high enough to support it. You need to have rates high enough to attract demand for the said currency. Higher the demand is, the stronger the currency.

Central bankers are clowns and do not understand this fact AT ALL! They are talking about being restrictive which is RIDICULOUS, because everything is at the all time high. Why? Because the purschasing power of the currency is collapsing, and it takes more, and more, and more, and mooooore of the same currency to buy the exact same thing.

Globally, currencies are collapsing, however JPY is being completely destroyed by BoJ's stupidity. And now, they have a problem! Due to their stupidity of keeping rates low and buying the debt to artificially supress rates, they created JPY carry trade. The global system is so dependant on this now that if BoJ was to rapidly hike rates and JPY would strengthen, it would lead to a massive shock across the markets.

It seems to me that BoJ will continue on this road of destroying the JPY completely. The other case is JPY strengthening and chaos across the board, triggering massive crisis.

It is actually BoJ that is most important central bank right now, as the decisions they make, the whole market depends on. Fed also shouldn't be too keen to cut rates as that would lower the gap between the rates of US and Japan, which would pull us closer to strengthening JPY scenario and collapse.

A total fuc'ing disaster! They will probably keep intervening to delay JPY collapse, but this seems to be the road BoJ is on. Other currencies are being destroyed as well, however situation with JPY is getting critical.

that was a very weak intervention, hardly 200 pips only and now all yen pairs are rising again. Previously yen could rise by more than 600 pips. They should have a follow up intervention

MOF is just checking rates by calling banks to ask for prices. The purpose is to check whether the market is too volatile. So it's not a full intervention.
