Where was US during the Battle of Britain? That's right, on the side lines playing the "neutrality" card as Adolf wasn't seen as bad enough yet.
And to accuse ANYONE of avoiding the front lines when YOU yourself are a known draft dodger? Incredible.

It’s good to know ( and refreshing ) that someone knows their history ; in fairness Trump wasn’t directly involved , however as stated the US stayed sidelined hedging their bets .
