    Eight NATO members’ goods sent to the U.S. will face escalating tariffs “until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland,” President Donald Trump announced Saturday. The tariffs targeting Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Finland will start at 10% on Feb. 1, Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. The tariffs will shoot up to 25% on June 1, the president said. His post suggested that the new tariffs on the European allies were being imposed in response to them moving troops to Greenland. Funny thing is this entire sh!tshow is not for Americans, it is for big Financial/Energy corporations (Blackrock, Vanguard, State Street) that actually controls the world, Americans would get nothing but more inflation.

How I wish you are right. The problem is the countries you mentioned do not have the type of relation with USA that Europe has (with exception for Canada).

While Brazil, India, China etc have been existing and surviving without NATO, Europe and USA are bundled with NATO which has been the symbol of safeness and security for Europe for 80 years.

I still believe in Europe and I hope Europe together with many other countries will put USA in place, but we have to be patient because the political and the geopolitical shock that's being created here is unprecedented and Europe need a little more time to assimilate this shock and work a plan to stand up to these idiots.

Russia's foothold in Greenland is already deeper than we would like.

But Russia will be out just as quickly as it was out of Syria and Venezuela .... Because anyone will own the whole world.

The EU will not be the laughing third party here, but will initially only very cautiously, and hopefully decisively, demonstrate that the very small NATO member Greenland is worth protecting, as long as it desires it and international law still allows for its enforcement.

No need to strategise; just hold the line and stay the course for as long as it’s required . He’s attempting to create fractures within the alliance. I’m glad they ( Europe ) have shown some backbone and took the initiative with a bold strategic move; that’s thrown Donny and the administration a curveball .

What do you mean by "Russia's foothold in Greenland is already deeper than we would like."? Is Russia threatening to occupy Greenland?

USA has it's military base in Greenland anyway, and even if that wasn't enough they could expand or find another solution that makes everyone happy without occupying entire country, especially ally...

Security was never the reason why ginger wants Greenland to begin with
