Trump knows his time in the oval office will not be enough for him to accomplish his crazy mission. November is his deadline as he knows he will most probably be impeached. That's why the generals are trying to deflect him with another much more important operations.

The longer time it takes, the more desperate Trump gets. He will cause some major major security problem. That's for sure. However I think the problem will be limited withing the borders of USA as more and more republicans and generals are building a momentum against Trump.

He may be impeached as he (himself) point at this as quite probable outcome. The problem of the US political System is - impeachment does not necessarily means removal from office hence a pointless action against the president. I am not sure what is the purpose of impeachment if removal from office is not an imminent consequence of the impeachment.

It just doesn't solve the problem.

He is desperate anyway because he knows he is not safe.

Honestly I don’t think there’s any chance of impeachment , he’s got the backing of most governors ; I’m not sure I even want that option , it was the Democrats going after him that actually gave his base more ammunition .

I’d rather see him be reigned in legally and through the correct channels ( if that’s possible) ; Scotus and the judiciary need to be aligned with various levels of the branches and military to provide counter measures/ checks on his whimsical actions .
