    Ukraine’s President Volodymr Zelenskyy said Monday that he has asked for up to 50 years’ worth of security guarantees for Ukraine during his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the weekend. Commenting on the talks with Trump in Florida on Sunday, Zelenskyy told journalists that he said a meeting with Russia would only be possible after the president and European leaders had agreed on a framework peace deal for Ukraine. The comments, reported by Reuters on Monday, included Zelenskyy stating that he had asked for security guarantees for up to 50 years for Ukraine, but that the current 20-point peace plan ... Zebi , stop talking semantics .

Assurances were given by the US and UK ( and Russia ) to come to the aid of Ukraine if required .

If you’re enjoying a spliff tonight then it’s good gear because you’re spouting a lot of BS . Assurances ( written or not) are just that , the same as Russia were told “ not one inch east “ .

Both of these countries were duped by the duplicitous acts of the US playing both sides of the coin as is their usual approach .

Don’t you worry your pretty little ass about US involvement in this matter . They/ like you tend to stir the pot and leave others ( generally the locals) to do the fighting .

You may have a good point there. But then again we all need to agree on the fact that Russia is the aggressor and mobilize all democracies around the world to help Ukraine with everything they need to fight off the Russians. Ukraine has nearly nothing to fight with and part of the reason for this is USA. Remember USA was one of the sides which pressed Ukraine to give away their nuclear arsenal to Russia in return for security guaranties. Today none of the countries involved in this agreement are willing to send troops to Ukraine. That's what I call cowards.

No, Ukraine did not have the launch codes for the Soviet nuclear weapons stationed on its territory; Russia retained full command and control, meaning Ukraine could only store the weapons but not actually use them, as the launch keys remained in Moscow until the weapons were transferred to Russia after the USSR's collapse

so now you know where to put that bullshit argument about ukie giving back their missiles and being defenseless...fly your ass over there and take up a gun against the russians cause even liberal americans with TDS dont want to die for your cowardly asses

My last word word: Russia wouldn't hit itself in the chest and say we have most nukes of all countries in the world. Ukraine had almost 7000 nuclear warheads after the collapse of USSR. Many of them was destroyed due to an agreement with USA. Do the math if you can - Russia would have today no more that 1000-1500 warheads.

USA deploys American troop only if the US national security is in danger. Exception was made in the Balkans, but that was under UN mandate (not NATO). At the same time USA was the only one country in the history of NATO which benefited from the article 5 after 9/11. Right now USA is in a selfish mode ON until something happens again in the territory of the US and the big cry baby will get help again from its true allies. The next generation will hopefully show some signs of understanding the real situation until another "Trump" appears on the political arena and fucks up decades of work made on the basis of global prosperity, democracy, integrations and peaceful ideologies.. President Trump has already burned the confidence bridge. Biden governance gifted money and military equipment to Ukraine. Trump governance said NO, this is not acceptable, and extorted repayment of aid previously gifted and to get additional assistance. The next Presidential governance after Trump may as well say the pinky finger promise made by Trump is not acceptable and will no longer provide security guarantees or any assistance to Ukraine should they need it.
