I’m trying to get a new computer so that I can set up more tests. It’s a little difficult to get a decent computer in a third world country. I’ve got two set files set up for testing now, TPFRev and TPFReg. I’ll post their TEs once it’s able to be published. For some reason the FF site isn’t setting it up to publish. Have a great week trading Gold (I guess just one day left).

What I have on demo now is my TPF, both regular signals and reverse signals. By reverse I mean, bullish would be considered bearish, and bearish would be considered bullish. The Regular hasn’t started yet but I’m sure it will soon. The Reverse started just now.

why you continue holding tests?
no need, since you have a long history , backed sometiems to 30 years . .
for test i use: automatic paper -and pencil (instant test) .. it takes 1 second . .

When I get a new computer I’ll also demo test FCF regular and reverse. There are several other filters I’ve created that I haven’t demo tested yet but I will as soon as I can find a decent computer.

It’s easier to forward test on demo because there are multiple pairs. I’m not sure if the backtesting feature supports simultaneously testing multiple pairs.

i mean you already have the chart for any symbol - prev history . .

for example, last week candles on any frame is aviable,, then you need only your eyes to assses/test/evaluate and make sound conclusions

Oh I see what you mean. It’s not the signals or the validity of signals that I’m testing. That’s all done. I’m testing how it performs in real time. Right now, I’m testing limit orders only. There’s also the same setup but with stop orders, which will have a different strategy. So all in all, if I’m just looking at two of my filters only, these are really the tests I need to forward test (but I’m currently limited due to computer resources):

1. TPF Regular (limit orders)
2. TPF Reverse (limit orders)
3. TPF Regular (stop orders)
4. TPF Reverse (stop orders)

5. FCF Regular (limit orders)
6. FCF Reverse (limit orders)
7. FCF Regular (stop orders)
8. FCF Reverse (stop orders)

Not to mention, the same things should be done on Bitcoin and Forex.

Both set files do great on Bitcoin, but things are tricky with Gold, at least with the limited tests I've seen. What I'll do once I get a better computer, I will test all combinations simultaneously in order to compare which is better for Gold.

You guys feel free to share your EA results, even if they suck, maybe we could give some feedback that might give you some ideas or help in some way. By seeing the plot of your floating equity curve, I personally should be able to give some feedback at least.

Drawdown on TPF Regular went past 500 USD so it already has to be discarded to give way for another set file to be tested since I'm limited on computer resources. 1K is the absolute max for DD that would be tolerated but 500 is already showing warning signs. Probably have to change lot sizes, reduce the number of Gold pairs, etc. But for now, TPF Regular is on notice for Gold. But I'm just going to let it play out the rest of the day since I don't want to create a new demo.

I think Gold likes reversed signals with limit orders, let's see. Just posted a FCF Reverse test.

I had to discard the previous TPF Regular test since drawdown went past 500 USD. Up to 1K DD is tolerable but it just didn't look right.

How is everyone’s EA doing today? Feel free to post your current screenshots.

Interesting how XAUUSD, the one driving the price has more sells than buys, whereas the others have more buys than sells. Hmmm, is XAUUSD leading us, to a trap side? It could be a smart money divergence leading us to a bull trap? or maybe market makers are selling to provide liquidity? I'm sure there are many other interpretations, which is another reason I don't pay too much attention to those topics and trade using set files and EA (fully automated) or trusty candle patterns and EA (semi automated).

Ah no wonder Gold testing has been running hot for the past few days. I’m missing a zero in the set files for Gold!

I was starting to wonder why there were so many trades in a short amount of time.
