Inflation rate is ticking up in the EU. Trade with the US is getting more expensive and Putin is looking to expand his war into western Europe, with USA's blessing.

No brainer that there will not be any more rate cuts and indeed, a rise may soon be in order to strengthen the euro for the difficulties ahead.

we are in a classic bull flag on the WEEKLY chart, right in the middle of it
there is always a little hesitancy in the middle, but we are going up
and you are right, the next stop is the 1.18 area

If the ECB starts to talk about hiking, it is a potential risk to investors, which they have to price in, if they think it could escalate.
So you are right, it: "Depends on the actual facts yet to come."

But something has started. And definitely not an ECB cut, but future hikes.

1.18 is the minimum we can go up to.
Can we go up to 1.24? I don't know. My brain cannot process these kind of big numbers

Big market players probably use more complex methods to forecast 2026, than the default setting of the Bollinger Bands
but yeah, I've got your point.
1.18 is there on the top channel of the flag. I see it. The bots see it.
When will it be tested? Good question.

In my humble opinion it will grind up to 1.1720 - 1.1730 till Wednesday.
No other big move will happen before the FOMC meeting.
People will wait it out at the top of the range we have since Nov 21 on the H4 Chart.
My 2 cents.
