It's absolutely transparent what Trump wants. He wants a deal. The deal means Russia is brought back out of the shadows and can again play cards with the big boys. The US sends Witkoff and Jared Kushner, two billionaire real estate developers, to "negotiate peace" with Vladimir Putin. What a joke.

I agree that is not what he said. Typical western media propaganda. I listened to Putin twice this morning on RT. Basically he said that Russia will not fight the EU but live in some illusion that somehow the EU can defeat Russia. If they want a war then Russia is ready to fight right now.

Fair points. I'm looking for that pop, as I'm just trading out a week at most. The headline might be that the IEEPA tariffs have to be repaid, but the reality is that would be tied up in the courts. Not sure what you mean by "agreed to tariffs"? The tariffs with almost all major trading partners are still being negotiated and subject to change. How's that for "uncertainty"?

Oh, certainly not his article...just the news itself hitting the "wires" in other forms/fashions...

SCOTUS won't be ruling on the tariff issue until 2026 at least. If people are "conspiratorial", then even IF the court doesn't align with the president, it will absolutely give him time to establish tariffs by other means and delay the ruling...which could mean a Spring/Summer 2026 ruling.

Major crypto players are calling for big rallies into the year-end for both crypto and stocks. They are talking their book, obviously, but bought the heck out of the crypto dip yesterday.

Technically, stocks seems to be hanging onto their uptrend (/nq and /es having recently avoided closing below their 20 week MAs). Today's close will be very telling. If the morning reversal can be erased, it would be quite positive. Of course, the November 12 highs need to be cleared out before saying we're on a clear path back to all time highs, but the rally off 11/21 lows has been impressive (despite the low volume for most days).

My guess is that’s up to Powell. So everyone is assuming a cut this month and some next year.

But Powell could either remain professional and somewhat neutral in all these crazy Fed machinations, and be pretty clam in his remarks. Or he could become upset with the undue influence of the White House and as you said deliver a frustrated hawkish cut. Two definite possibilities with what I assume would be different market reactions.

I’m confused by his hawkishness in saying he was leaning to no rate cut only to have his comments completely reversed by another member. I’m not sure why he allowed that to happen with zero comment. So I think it’s really up in the air what he will say.

English is not my mother language. In general I'm fine, but there are cases, where special terms, event specific jokes, certain slang I will never understand.

I'm from a smaller country. To fine-tune the Translating Apps for us will never be their priority, it is lacking. Even for AI there is less input to learn from. So there are times where I just scratch my head, although I like your reference to the Zerohedge article as the "Tyler Durden piece". There is a certain coolness to it.

I went to search for the expressions: "You can't have your cake and eat it (too)". I get that.
And I also get your Hawkish Cut reasoning.

But I need help with the whole sentence (including the end part):
