People don't know the probabilities of a full bullish 4h day, run up on Asia and pullback or reverse...

Sell? No!

And i don't need to buy anymore. Ny breaking bearish i evaluate my two open buys...

Gold making those tiny pullbacks and rallying higher so you always feel your buying the highs, like would it hurt taking a breath so we can all catch the train

Keep an eye out for dxy its been falling for some time but gold doesnt seem to react positively to that. If dxy goes up gold could retrace a bit

Usually I keep SL max 4-5$ so it was heavily risky at that time. I shorted from 4145 instead so minimal risk. should be breakeven after a while

i see way too many new traders leaning on the analysis of experienced traders their entries, sl and tp. to be honest, as long as you keep doing that, you’ll never learn it yourself. some throw too many indicators on the chart. some doubt themselves too much. some post entries not from experience but to see who thinks the same, just to get certainty about their own positions. that’s wrong. everyone has a different trading style. yes, there are plenty of traders here with their own system and plan. the point is this: it’s about what you see with your own eyes and what you feel. if you keep depending on other traders, you’ll never see the market itself, you’ll never hear the story the market tells, and you definitely won’t create your own system.
some people hunt for five indicators to slap on the chart, but that’s already a mistake. why? too much noise. indicators distract. you start watching the indicators instead of your own feeling and your own eyes. study one pair, because every pair tells a story. watch the key zones support and resistance. the market always respects support and resistance. it’s better to draw boxes than single lines. when you build those boxes and look left, you’ll see that s/r was always respected somewhere, always.
where most traders fail is simple: you have no awareness of your own emotions, and that’s what holds most people back. if you’re a beginner, you should basically watch your screen all day and focus on that specific pair. it’s like a movie the more you watch, the more details you start to notice. there is no good strategy if your emotions aren’t under control and you don’t recognize them. we all feel dopamine when we win, and we all feel regret or anger when we close too early and price still moves our way. those emotions are normal. the thing is, you never know in advance if you’re making the right choice you only see that afterwards.
there is no single sl or single tp you can use all the time. sl and tp depend on how the market moves, and your sl must always fit your budget. risk management and emotions work on those, and you’ll become a good trader, no matter what strategy you use. everyone literally looks at the same zones. liquidity sweeps and stop hunts happen because the big boys know where the majority entered and where the majority put their stops. that’s why you see sweeps at those exact points.
just keep watching the chart and trade your own way. find your own way. losses will happen, but those losing trades are where you learn. every day after trading, write down where you felt emotions and where you acted wrong. make a journal. you learn trading from yourself, not from the internet, because 95% of what you see online is fake. all those gurus and mentors are fake they just want you to keep following and feeding their content. keep trading simple. the simpler it is, the clearer everything becomes.

the thing is, people look for others to copy trades from. but what if that person disappears? then you’re stuck searching again, instead of simply learning to watch and feel what the market is doing yourself. some people dig through youtube, but youtube is full of folks who just want to push you to their website, into their trade room, or onto a monthly plan to see their trades.
that’s why you should avoid other people’s ideas and start with your own analysis. if you come to a forum to take other people’s trades, or you post your own entries out of insecurity, you’re already not confident enough to trade. and i’m a supporter of trading with real money only then you truly see and feel your emotions.
people have a habit: follow the crowd. that’s wrong. don’t follow the crowd. follow your own eyes, your own intuition, and your own plan.

i see way too many people chasing the best entry. they see a red candle down, then a green candle up, and think buy. they buy on the first green candle after the red, but they don’t wait for the candle to close. i used to do that too. mistakes taught me to wait for the candle close and then watch the next candle. sure, if the market moves your way, you might get a slightly better entry by jumping early. but how often does the candle you enter on flip before the close and turn into the opposite color? very often. so wait for the close
