Some will never understand what 'to negotiate' means. So used to the 'bend over routine' that has been in place for decades this is hard to grasp. BTW, USD/CAD snapped back giving up all the gains over the past session and is firmly seated at a support area on a daily. Big 'fair value gap' above that may turn into a short squeeze somewhere between now and the New York Session

Get into his head. Trump wants to say that he made a deal. Impose 100% tariff (say).

Then reduce it to 50%, and Swiss say they will do something. There. Deal done. Easy.

For the avoidance of doubt, that is not negotiation by any stretch of the imagination. It is what thugs do.

Just like he said with China and others.
