Top Chinese and U.S. economic officials on Sunday hashed out the framework of a trade deal for U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping to finalize that would pause steeper American tariffs and Chinese rare earths export controls and resume U.S. soybean sales to China, U.S. officials said. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the talks on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur had eliminated the threat of Trump’s 100% tariffs on Chinese imports starting November 1. Li Chenggang. This single name puts the US and its Media and people in perspective. All the bad mouthing, chest thumping and bravado on success of negotiations is as misplaced as the words which they used the misguide people.
How embarrassing it must be see Li Chenggang in the meeting, leading the Chinese discussions with confidence that he's got the back of its leaders and being steady fast. The concluding remark of China’s Li Chenggang said the two sides reached a “preliminary consensus” and will next go through their respective internal approval processes. “The U.S. position has been tough, whereas China has been firm in defending its own interests and rights,” Li said through an interpreter. That is what i will trust and wait.

Hello.

In my opinion, Trump is once again trying to use his power to gain more wealth. All this news should strongly push gold downwards, but it moved downwards slowly. When the price reaches where Trump wants it to be, news will be released by Trump that will push gold to higher targets... Until the end of Trump's presidency, I think it will be difficult to control prices and inflation... I hope for a day when everyone is equal.

If one interprets what Li Chenggang said, there is no deal yet. And if you know how tactful Chinese officials are, I think Bessent is either dreaming or not telling the truth. But at least the share market shot up after that. I wonder who benefits from this.
