Normally I'd have zero interest in being critical, there's lots of contributors and that's fantastic, it's your overt boasting combined with being very critical, dismissive and disparaging of others that invites it. It's like you can dish it but can't take it, not even the softest vanilla constructive critique. Amusing storm in a tea cup.

I felt like I had something that does something similar, but I couldn't find it so I just made this.

Candle_OHLC_click
- click on a candle to draw level lines from the candle to live + some bars in future
- there is a hotkey to press first, default is c, then click a candle
- once made, you can drag the vertical short line around to move it
- optional prices, and styling
- levels are all optional, and at o/h/l/c/midHL/midBody

Just a little hint:
You may want to use #property description to include some of the most important feature explanations, so that any future user can figure out how to use it.

That is a good point, typically I don't bother adding that, it's use seems apparent enough to me (but of course I'm biased), what would I add? I mean like the whole description in the post, or a few points, or something else

Look, man, let's be realistic. Here we have two people who have some conflict regarding programming issues. One of these two people creates serious, complex programs with thousands of lines of quality code (that's me), while the other creates ON/OFF buttons and insignificant, useless oscillators with a few lines of code and similar simple code snippets (that's you).
What you have done in this forum so far is numerically significant, but in terms of quality and complexity, it is practically a ridiculous zero.
Despite the above, you are trying to lecture me and act superior. Am I the only one who finds this funny? If I were in your shoes, I would be very embarrassed right now. Slow down a little and think about it.

By the way, there is something I can thank you for.
Namely, that I am quitting the forum. Arguing with smart alecks has caused me more harm than the joy I have gained from being here. This is bad business.

Yes mt5 is clearly more powerful and versatile, but as you've noticed mt4 is still the dominant platform, or has just recently been overtaken by mt5. The bulk of indicators and related forums in this space are almost entirely using mt4, that goes a long way to people preferring to keep it. Mt5 has no backwards compatibility so you have to manually convert all mt4 tools over, that itself is a hassle. Though many indicators are present for mt5, the history, discussions, search results, are mostly mt4. Personally I prefer mt4 for some basic reasons, I'm not some power user, so the main thing in mt5 I really like is just the extra draw styles.
What use are you getting out of mt5 over mt4?

The time frames for charts available. For example the 10 min and 8hr charts I use for my EA's are easily called.
The back testing capabilities, both forward and back options, and reporting are far superior.
Dont get me wrong, it was a major hassle for convert from mt4 to 5, especially as Im self taught, with no formal coding training, but all worth it in the end..

I do admire how much help several of you provide on here. When MT4 was first launched, the Metatrader forums were full of people helping each other, now its basically just a massive marketplace, and coders want $$ for their time, which is also fully understandable.
I only stumbled across these forums as I use the calendar on this site, and just was curious as to why it was still so mt4 orientated.

Its also interesting to see how many are still seeking the holy grail of indicators, ( I probably spent 10 years on it ). Now I only care about Time, Levels and Price action.
Im only here for the Guzzoline...

I know at least one who joined FF in 2006 and is still active regularly...

Yep, I actually started in the Dotcom boom in 90s before moving to FX in early very 2000s ( started on FXCM before Metatrader) , seen much, lost lots, made lots and blown many account ..
I think crypto is very similar in ways to the Dotcom era. Many newbies jumping onboard, some making easy $$, then getting wiped overnight. There is NO doubt that technology has jumped 100 fold, I did most of my coding in excel when mt4 offered a DDE.
What some of you guys are coding now just blows me away, and you are 10000% correct about, if you have something that works, you are NOT selling or parting with it

And I can tell you that nothing has changed on this forum in 19 years. The only thing that I have noticed that is materially different is the increase in people not wanting to think for themselves or even attempt to get their own solutions - they want it gifted to them as though they are owed it. But that's fine - they will never be successful because that is not what trading is all about, and we have all been on that journey at some point in our lives.
