Buyers building up, breakout of the range seems to be the current intention; sellers failed to defend their levels + seller's absorption below Daily VWAP (purple line) and London VWAP. Buyers took control over the Daily PoC and are pushing higher.

yea.. semss like sellers trying at 4260 but nothing happening. checking to see if aggressive buys are strong enough to push through the level...

Well, we currently see strong positive delta on daily VAH. This implies buyer's dominance; they want to shift value higher.
The real challenge is 4,280 - 300 as it turned into supply.

seems like this is backed by passive side too but i dont have heatmap lol really not sure.. yea i think so too. that;s my target and gonna be done for today

Strong breakout above VAH, 900+ delta. Buyers will have to sustain that aggression.
Concerning the heatmap, I can tell by the footprint that there is support on the bids. Sellers keep getting absorbed as price rises.

yea.. also visible on delta. I think it might go to 4310 then consolidate there.. could possible reverse if there's passive sells kicking in...

The aggression is pretty strong at this time, I'm looking 4,350 before any reversal.
That would be a rotation setup.

great target too.. thats where massive sells play out.. possible sell limits adding up there.. wanna see absorption buys. if not we re going to new highs

Good logic.

Update: we see NY trading above its opening range (15m) with trapped sellers around its VWAP. This should give the confidence that 4,350 will be touched, then we'll see what'll happen from there.

Initial thoughts on the week (20.10 - 24.10) Gold

The bullish bias is sustained.
Looking at Delta, sellers attempt to slow things down a bit, while buyers persist in their dominance.
4,200 - 220 Spot was defended as demand in confluence with the 1st deviation of the monthly VWAP, giving confidence for the bullish bias.
4,350 seems to be a key price for decisiveness after NY session renewed 4,300 - 320 range as demand.

Pretty much the same thing in Gold. We'll see if this will turn out to be the beginning of the correction everyone is wanting or just another period of consolidation or dip before continuation. The $40 range around 4,300 Spot seems to be more or less insignificant at this point in time.

Quite new to all this, and this is simplified order flow on ctrader delta / divided mode. There was a move up on XAUUSD but numbers were neutral or mostly on sell side but still continuing trend up, is this absorption (accumulation - smart money)?

this is a great indication since we are sitting at previous demand.. lets wait for more info if this is actually an absorption..

We often see this type of behaviour as an early sign of a reversal. More sellers are stepping in as the price rises on low buyer's volume; the rise is caused by algos trying to bring price to a desired level and fill before a decisive move.
The second context is what we've been seeing from the end of September and beginning of October: the big boys drop price and and buy it on the cheap, people think this is the beginning of a downtrend so they start to sell, the algos then push price higher and collect liquidity from those sellers (stop hunts) which just fuels higher prices.
This is high-risk environment in my opinion, so I usually just observe what they're doing and trying to see their intentions.

Update: so, we do see buying interest on the lows; however, weekly PoC (red line) shifted lower, meaning that value may be shifting lower (a sign of selling intention).
Next, we have trapped sellers on and below the PoC, but we also have trapped buyers above; this is a situation where a small range is forming and both sellers and buyers want to make a breakout.
In the last image, we analyze the Anchored Delta Profile from the beginning of the drop: there are more buyers accumulated than sellers, which could either imply buyer's absorption by offers or buyer's attempt to push higher. If buyers want to push higher, they will have to break 4,290 (Futures price) where they are accumulated (defending their levels and claiming control), otherwise it will be considered as absorption and bias would be in favor of sellers.
