China is more than likely the number one global superpower within 2 decades, it’s not that the US is bullying China more the fact it’s scared of China and the transfer of power.

The production capacity and capabilities of China is astonishing , simply put the affluent West can’t match its workforce or dynamism.

China knows what it is doing unless US can find a way to source those rare earth minerals from other countries (Africa) more quickly and efficiently than in mainland China, then I don't think US can win this trade war without major economic ramification. Remember that China also has stakes in those African mines extracting rare earth minerals so will America give a better deal than China in Africa? I doubt it coz China builds infrastructure as part of its deals and America has zero track record of major infrastructure projects in Africa that could come close to what China has done. America will have to rethink this trade war. China knows the American stock market is being propped up by an Ai bubble and it wont be able to keep running this pyramid scheme without those R.E.Minerals for its computing load. Lots of countries including the US have rare earths, but they ship to China to do the refining. It will take quite a while for other countries to process their own rare earths. Many years.

I notice quite a lot of cars made in China making their presence known on our roads. I couldn't say that just a few years ago. I don't know much about them, but anecdotal evidence suggests that they are OK.

NQ dropped 5% from its ATH (recovered 1.5% so far)
SnP dropped 4% from its ATH (recovered 2% so far)
Ever seen an index?

Not interested what those Vola crypto's or induvidual stocks do.

Black Swan? So far a few chicks in a pond only making a lot of noice.
And even if markets pull back more its still not called a black swan.

You need an attack on the Capitol or new banking crisis for that kind of moves.

In the long-term, China is likely to have overplayed its hand here because of the security dilemma it has created: it would have been much better strategically for them to have retained and increased US dependence on it for high-end products driving tomorrow's economy.

If China continues on this path, it may split into two - North China and South China - and this in the best-case scenario. To maintain stability they need all the economic growth they can get, and implementing strict RE controls risks cutting off the branch they are sitting on. We already saw how this played out with the USSR.

We do not have to do anything, here in North America. Ukraine is Europe problem, but Europe's daddy USA, will help because without daddy Europe would be very scared of Russia. I would advise Europe to look in their own backyard first and take care of your own citizens. Don't worry about USA, they will be just fine, they always have and they always will be.
