Any thoughts on where this trade went wrong, 15min nova was green, emas had flipped and I was looking for at least a sweep of the London highs?

Im no pro, but personally i dont enter on such impulse candles, i find that they dont work as much as slow and steady climb on nova, instead of a boom candle like that.

Too big of a push candle.

can someone spot my mistake? I'm a little bit frustrated already, recently i got only misses.


EDIT: bigger trend is short. Guess thats why

hey toli,
if you look left you had a pin bar high.....warning of a reversal
if you look further left you crossed all the ema's a long time earlier.
if you look at the break out and then the perfect retest of the ema that was the dream entry withe exit at the pin bar.
i always want to enter on the break of the ema cross....not enter a continuation when they are already widely seperated unless i am already in profit. But that pinbar would have kept me out.
Happy to elaborate if unclear.

If you know the bigger trend is down then why are you buying? - NEVER do that unless you want to get burnt.

Let the lower TF align and then ride the actual trend.

Also, when the EMA's have flipped, they the best entry would be when price returns to the EMA's after the first push... but eitherway I would only focus on selling if the main trend is down.

I thought the EMA's must spread a little wider like a "fork". Anyway i will try to enter already earlier like you say! Thanks again and have a nice weekend!

Hello . Yes, i rushed in to the trade and noticed the different trend direction after i tried to analyze where the mistake was. . So stupid...

I tried with it.
But is good only in trending markets. Very Bad during the ranging or choppy markets.

I am using it just to catch the trend if I miss an early entry.

My first ever trade with Nova, risking a hefty 3 EUR on gold. Don't know how I will survive if I lose the trade.

Late buy limit entry just above original entry/trigger candle on 5min.

We got stopped out of gold, gunning for 1.5 R proved fatal, comfortably reached 1R though so it was at break even.

New trade on EURUSD 5min, putting my faith in the daily TF (bullish) and the nova indicator. Let's see.

In hindsight, I jumped the gun a bit, we only had 1 green histogram at time of entry. Oh well.

Welcome back. Nova is excellent if you follow the rules. I passed 1st and 2nd Prop firm evaluation by applying only Nova.
I can confirm that when I tried to deviate, my SL was hit 80% of the time

Hi Mwangi,

I am just starting out with Nova and have mixed results even though I believe I am following the main rules.

Could you describe what is the exact checklist you go through before you enter a trade? I'd like to learn from someone who is already having success with it.

Hello @MrReReraise82, go to this post. Follow the rules and I can assure you that you will never look back. Of course it has its losing days but all in all, it has a high winning rate.

The only addition I have is the ADR high and low. If it is very close to any ADR, sit on your hands
