Sorry, but I don't understand the idea???
High and Low are clear, but how am I supposed to implement Open or Close???
You already have the Close option and the Open option.
So, if you need two lines, you should use two instances with different LineNamePrefix.
Otherwise, I don't see any logic in Open or Close in the same sense as High or Low.

Yes, what any indicator plots depends on the settings, if there are any.

They don't know if that specific level is actually S or R.
And, you can manipulate the parameters, and get different results.
So, what you would need to do, basically, if you want any reasonable results, is to find some longer period (higher TF) SRs and watch Price Action on shorter periods (lower TF).

The previously posted .mq4 was coded in such a way, that the rectangle with lines would only appear when loaded on the chart, so it was working more like a script than an indicator.
Also, there is no reason to update the objects every 10 seconds. Once per new bar is enough.
So, there is also no need for any timer.

Good morning all. I am learning to appreciate this thread greatly. I am writing my own EA to trade a system I have created. The following is a snippet of the EA. I am coding the EA to take Buy Stop, and Sell Stop orders. The issue I am encountering is the order does not expire at the end of the candle if a trade is not entered. Could someone please offer advice on how to fix this? Also, please feel free to critique my code. I am using 0 as the expiration part in OP_SELLSTOP, and OP_BUYSTOP because when I use expirationTime the EA does not open any trades even when the criteria for entry is met. I am going to make it more modular once I work out the kinks. It does open trades this way, but was wondering if it could be fixed, or if I am better off taking OP_BUY, and OP_SELL instead.

In OrderSend() you didn't input any expiration date.

Value 0 means there is no expiration date.

Also, you don't need this:

_Digits or Digits always returns the actual Symbol Digits, so it already does the job.
And _Point does the same for any points to price conversions.
So, what is the purpose of defining pipValue = _Point; and then redefining pipValue in some nonsensical way?
Just stick to points, always, for every instrument.
Let me explain:
For Digits = 3 Point will be 0.001
For Digits = 5 Point will be 0.00001
For Digits = 2 Point will be 0.01
And so on. So, what you did is nonsense.

By trying to convert pips to points, you are just making your life harder, and it won't work universally.
So, just use points instead of pips.

Can you create an MT5 indicator that plots recent bullish and bearish engulfing zones, as well as failed engulfing zones, and keeps them visible until price has broken or moved beyond them?

No. TimeCurrent() is always the last known server time, so your pending order would expire immediately.
You need to get the OrderOpenTime() and add to that whatever you want.
So, if you don't know the expiration time, you need to do OrderModify() with the calculated expiration time.
Otherwise, you could simply do OrderDelete() on new bar.

Would datetime expirationTime = OrderOpenTime()+PeriodSeconds(Period) work or would OrderOpenTime()+Period()*60 be better?

Dear BestTrader Ev,

In MT5 it is not possible, as in MT4, to let take the EA only buys or only sells.
I am using a very simple MT5 EA in which I want to have that functionality built in.
After trying many times myself without any positive result, I am hereby asking if you would do that for me.
