this is a repeat of 7 days ago on the GBP news when so many amateurs were going long gbp in a downtrend and lost money
usd/jpy has been in a downtrend for 27 HOURS based on 5 min chart yet so many are going long in a downtrend today and losing money again.
the markets take money from the people who have zero idea and gives to those people who do some research and learn how to read a chart.
trading is one of the toughest things to learn yet people do no research - to fly a plane u have to go and get a pilots license - to be a doctor u need to do uni research - be a lawyer u need to get degree. BUT to trade people do little research???????????????? hello u deserve to lose money

The question is, how can anyone be long on JPY pairs when the 30-year yield is above 3.2% and there were weekend gaps?
Anyone who is serious should be short on JPY pairs. CHF/JPY is best for building mega positions for a future flash crash, as it has a positive swap on shorts.

For years, they sold JPY and bought currencies with higher interest rates, but this cannot go on indefinitely. If you want to make a profit, you have to close your position, i.e. buy back JPY and sell the opposite currency. This trend began last summer.

The BOJ often gives advanced notice of major changes, so if the source is verified, then this is very likely to happen. It will be a massive boost for the Yen (especially if the Fed do reduce) Yen will be back to sub 1.40 by the end of the month if this is the case.

They got everyone out of short on the news about PM resigning and now, as is always the case with BoJ, the news comes out yet again before the BoJ's actual meeting. Add terrible upcoming NFP report later and one could see a heavy drop on USD/JPY today.

Sometimes one has to wonder if some major market participants receive advance warning of this because you can tell the market just struggles to edge up and so you close longs and then it tanks when some "unexpected" news is announced moments later.

Usdjpy got into a buy zone, that's why many people buy, and it would have continued bullish if not for the news.
Pro tip; the news made it reverse sharply.
PS; most only lost 25% of what we made from usdjpy yesterday.
