Those are not small ranges. They are widow makers.

I guess the secret lies in what the PA was doing before those huge ranges.
Gotta be in the right direction which is always the essence of trading.

But again, there are lots of long candles with huge wicks on both ends like on Sep 02 right above 6:00 o'clock mark..
One can get caught in one of those whipsaws with dca and not be able to get out.

Just ran into the same issue with the spreads widening out of nowhere during news. I closed fast to save the account. Always gotta keep watch during volatile times.

Anyways, on the subject of Martingale, last update of my experimental EA based (loosely) on Navk's system (not really...just saying that) was in this post: https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/...9#post15370929

I could have closed the trades at 26% profit then and it would have been a great success. Navk closes his trade at a target he is happy with. But I run experiments and usually they are demo accounts. I do it for stress test.

Trader191 at some point accused me of posting martingale systems and blowing them up and deleting them.
In the spirit of transparency I'm going to update what is going on with that DEMO account under experiment.
Well, it got caught. Not blown. It is at an impasse. I have got until Sep 19 to get out of it with profit. But it is a demo experiment, so I am not too worried if I can't do it.

So, remember folks, Martingale is dangerous and needs traders with lots of experience to handle it carefully. Not for beginners or beginners who are going to give up early and become a guru like Trader191.

This is an example of exiting a martingale system while it is in profit.
I just closed all trades. Boom, profit! (demo)
I run all sorts of them.
Poor Trader191 that never made it past the beginner stuff.


I can't help it but think of the guy when I make profit with martingale even though I told him to leave me alone. He is so uptight.

i like you liar.
you failed so many times already (can you even count your failed attempts??), that you got it on my ignore list since years... you always tell about your wins and accounts and than you fully crashed again and all was burned and your accounts disappear . then next restart, and next... you never left field with wins on end... always big big mouth when martingale still running and loser on the end.... thats the story of you in this forum... maybe some day you are no beginner any more (but you are at the moment for sure)- funny that people at your low level still use martingale, looks like you and navk proof martingale is near most of time only used from beginners.
at least your clown show never changed in this forum. still you bring me a smile in your face with your big mouth + losing circles - reminds me why loser often never change and its like i see someone wondering why he lost and cant find a solution.

You are so funny. That's why I don't put you on my ignore list.
I also like to hear the pain in your voice (writing) when you speak with such a pain about failing at martingale.
The memories of all your failures are still haunting you after all these years.

I won't BS you...I have blown many accounts before. Who hasn't? But I ain't the kind to give up. You on the other hand say in every sentence you make that you failed and never want to try again. That attitude is most likely running through your veins no matter what you do.

Why don't you watch me around Sep 17th or so when I do my triple challenge with 3 of the best and the most well known and reputable props on the planet?
Just for you (kidding) I am going to use a martingale system. I have several choices but for the sake of AxiSelect (only $2500/$20,000), I have to use a particularly crafted martingale system that well...is state of the art in it's operations.

Here is a sneak preview of my REAL account in Seed stage at Axiselect. Started Aug 01 with 2K. Still live and ongoing. I am going to go with the same system for the 3 challenges.
BTW, I doubt anyone in the world has done a triple challenge like this and certainly no one using a martingale/no SL system. I almost should charge for the opportunity to see such a display of sheer martingale power in action but for you, I make it complimentary.

i did see you blow many many many accounts, and same time promote how good all is running for you and how good martingale work for you... that was primary reason you was landing on ignore list. and i have no pain with this, its your demo and real money... so painless for me.. bad for you

at least you never give up your dream to earn from trading, even at your beginner level. and happens sometimes, you use luck gamble system, so luck maybe helps you some day. go to church more... has more edge in your trading style than any different option .

At first I went, here we go...this guy is really out to prove martingale ( or any derivatives of it under any name) doesn't work.
So, you're keen on your observations of martingale trading by pointing out the pitfalls, the history. the reputation, the published or unpublished results...you know it's obvious to you what the outcome is.

And you are right.
It's a no brainer, you are right.
End of the deal.


But, that's not all.

He's right. It happened to me myself. A whole week of tinkering to come up with nifty way to extract money from the market, I came up with this.
And this happens. Account vanished...luckily it was just a demo.

What was I thinking?
My first reaction?
Ohhhh Fuuuuuuuuuuuu kkkk.
wtf happened?

Good question right?
I like to see what happened.
Pop up the hood, Open forensics.
etc etc and the list of faults print out in layers like the 80's dot Metrix printers.
Then it goes back to engineering department...fixing, chassis, alignment, wind tunnel test and a lot of in field forward tests to ensue. And maybe, maybe if deemed certified, then carefully it can deploy under the right circumstances and close observation.

So, at this point in this test, I wouldn't normally post this screenshot on ff on a prop thread...would I? Would you like that? Should I post my crashes all the time?
Martingale? Peh, what could go wrong?

So, ya it could be kinda of weird that every time my test martingale blows up, I would go yelling look, look martingale blew up my account.

Instead, I post mostly...no. ..all...no..some ...of my test results. I tend to celebrate my (perceived) success by posting a screenshot of what is working for me.
No pain, no gain.
It's keeper, finders in trading. Right?

So, guys hands up....vote...How many prefer I post all the results of my tests including a lot and very catastrophic blown out accounts?
(On the other hand, one is enough and you get the drift.)

And how many think the results of a few handcrafted attempts at you know...I tried hard to sculpt.(..ehheemmm ...caugh cof..lol)

at least you know for yourself you are a full time loser until now and you are still at beginner level. at least you dont lie to yourself to big... good luck in your gambling, no way someone can call you a trader.. but for gambling you are top and you got until now the most logic result (= loser on the end , but always try again !).

You say you are from UAE.

The people from UAE are usually good. I lived in UAE, ( Abu dhabi, Electra street, opposite to Etisalat, Near to Al Safa super market ) for 20 years before moving to Canada. So, I am sure of UAE people, they are nice.

How come your posts are below standard?

From now on, I wish to see some screen shots. ( Payout screen shots ) from Prop firm guys.

If it is regulat broker accounts, a trade explorer or daily profits screen shots fine.

This will be starting point to see how prop accounts are losing and regular accounts fair better.

If nothing is posted, we shall assume there is nothing to post, and not serious about trading.

And such guys just want to derail profit making guys out of jealousy.

Current high and hiorical low.
History means, it can be 1 year 5 yeat or since broker was born. When I started trading.
It means, previously i lost 2449, 1 year ago since inception.

Now 1k has become 2750.
