    Federal Reserve Board Governor Lisa Cook on Thursday sued President Donald Trump, seeking to block his unprecedented move to fire her. The suit, filed in federal court in Washington, D.C., also names Fed Chairman Jerome Powell and the board of governors itself as defendants. “This case challenges President Trump’s unprecedented and illegal attempt to remove Governor Cook from her position which, if allowed to occur, would the first of its kind in the Board’s history,” Cook’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, wrote in the lawsuit. Quite ironic for someone who’s slept with a porn actress ( and paid for her silence ) , has 34 counts of felonies pending , was in cahoots with a known paedophile on the celebrity circuit and has a impressive record of bankruptcy and track record of abusing the law .

It is a little bit ambiguous - “This case challenges President Trump’s unprecedented and illegal attempt to remove Governor Cook from her position".

My guess is, from the words illegal attempt, that she is not defending anything.

She is on the front foot asserting that it acted ultra vires - beyond its powers.

That's what I'd do.

But it might not be that, may be other grounds. Just an educated guess.

Cook's just playing the game. Trump has no basis unless she is actually charged with something, so watch this space. She does seem adamant about not denying anything, which is a little suspect. Diversion tactics like this often mean there's more to the picture we aren't being shown.

If she could "win" her attorney would simply provide concrete proof that she didn't claim two residences as primary. They have not done that, at all.
She is suing to stall for time and get her name in the press so she can get a cushy job at a firm or university that hates Trump. Stop thinking of things as truthful and logical in politics. Humans care about themselves and only themselves when push comes to shove. Everything she says and does is to further her own self interest. And, no, just because she is a person of color that does not give her the right to break the law as some believe.
