Merchan said he wishes Trump godspeed for his second term in office. "

Maybe the judge was the problem....

I once said Alvin bragg and Jack smith were Trump chief campaigners...they helped him greatly get re-elected...

It will unleash Trump's fury. If she really committed fraud, this will have a worse impact on her, and the following blow will bury her even more on a social and political level. She should only defend herself and prove that she didn't do it. If so, I see Cook in a bad light.

Cook's financial disclosure shows one personal residence mortgage of $100,001-$250,000. Though the address is not specified, it is the same 15-year borrowing term as on her $203,000 Ann Arbor, Michigan, mortgage.

From the beginning of April to early July, the national average for the 15-year rate ranged from 2.23% to 2.45%.

Cook's rate was 2.875%.

Sorry, convicted of felony but that's not the point. The double standard is. You are condemning someone without any proof or trial and at the same time have no issue voting for a convicted felon to be your leader. She made a mistake. Because of that it is likely she will get charged somewhat. The question then is, if this is enough. But this is a grey area and Trump will win this as he is president and higher courts will judge in his favor. So the ending question is, if Trump wins the majority on FED, does it mean he can decide rates should go much lower in short time period ? Then it would have an adverse effect on the markets but less than Powell would be fired. I expect a showdown in September with a falling stock market here.

Of course she can and will be charged when she took advantage of lower mortgage interest rates claiming she had two primary address, when in fact only one is allowed to. And that is some money because of the house value so it will be a somewhat mediocre charge because of that. She cannot she did not know the rules and laws and made a stupid mistake as she is a professional in same branch as FED member. No one believes her that. So Trump can fire her because of that mistake for sure. I am very sure about that.

these lawsuits are ridiculous. He is the executive branch. Federal reserve is not needed and is unelected. They need to go. We can create something so much better. Remember when the old federal reserve would show why they were raising or lowering interest rates with their graphs and diagrams and be accountable to us showing us the purpose behind it. Those days are gone.

Even if you're innocent, you don't have to say you're innocent. That's self-evident. You are (even in the US) innocent until proven guilty in a fair legal process. That's the basic premise of human civilization.
