Morning all! Gold looking to end the week near where it started it seems. Have TP of 3415 for my long from Wednesday evening. It’s been a slow one but especially compared to the 2 weeks prior but we survive

XAUUSD Outlook – August 8, 2025

Gold remains bullish after breaking above the 3,396 level. Currently waiting for a possible retest to position for entries. Haven’t managed to catch a gold trade this week yet — only took one position on GBP/USD yesterday, which is currently running in profit.

Guess a boring day it will be.

Finding it hard to break above 3398- 3403 range. Just stuck below 3403.(Trendline+ Fib. retracement confluence)

Today range seems 3413 - 3374 roughly 40points.

I'm fascinated reading the different posts and I find it most informative. But it does surprise me when I see people trying to second guess the market. Unless one is trading within a "range" then it's crazy to try and "guess" whether it's a bear or bull market. Because it's FACT.

From a technical standpoint, the sustained overnight move above the $3,383–3,385 supply zone, along with supportive daily chart oscillators, indicates that the commodity’s bias remains tilted to the upside. That said, the upward movement during the Asian session loses steam near a resistance defined by the upper boundary of the prevailing weekly uptrend. As such, it may be wise to wait for a decisive break above the $3,309–3,310 zone before anticipating continued upside. Should this occur, momentum could push Gold toward the next significant barrier around $3,422–3,423, with a potential advance to the $3,434–3,435 region. Sustained strength above this level may open the door for a retest of the record high, close to the psychological $3,500 mark reached in April.

Conversely, a dip back below the $3,385–3,383 former resistance zone might offer fresh buying opportunities, with support likely emerging near $3,353–3,350. This zone coincides with the 200-period Simple Moving Average (SMA) on the 4-hour timeframe, making it a key technical level to watch. A decisive break beneath this support could shift sentiment in favour of sellers and pave the way for a decline toward the $3,315 interim support, potentially extending to the $3,300 handle and even the $3,268 area — a one-month low seen last week.

Trading always comes with risk, but there are many ways of reducing the risk and increasing the odds of making money consistently. I'm not going to list them all here, but the most important rule is to manage the risk. If you regard trading as gambling, then carry on ignoring the fundamentals. Placing a trade would be no different from selecting red or black on the roulette table - and that's the reason over 79% of retail investors lose money trading. Take note of fundamentals and only place trades following a multitude of "rules" and you should make money. I will happily share my own rules, if of interest.

ok just looking at the charts,
i dont see alot going on, not much in news, i guess still continuing weak DXY overall but maybe some relief on the technicals for USD today.

daily close yesterday bullish engulf and my ATR is showing next structure level 3428, so depending on bullish momentum

strong close thru 3403-3409 opens the gates to 3428

hope we see a nice move when NY starts, would like to end the week in green and my first week without a losing day in a while- oops it did already start right? lol i am late to the party today

Gold is bearish in the short term, with a focus on 3380. Conservative investors should wait and see if the price breaks through 3409 or falls below 3381. Aggressive investors can buy low and sell high in the 3400-3385 range. Shorting on rallies is recommended. I hope you like my advice.

Gold will continue bullish , but i guess that will toches 3370$ one more time before jump.
