What Is a Demat Account?

  1. Demat = Dematerialized
    It’s an account that holds shares and securities in digital format—like a vault for stocks, bonds, ETFs, etc.
  2. Mandatory for equities
    To trade stocks on the NSE or BSE, you need a Demat account linked to a trading account.

What About Forex?
India has strict forex trading regulations, so you can't directly trade global currency pairs (like EUR/USD) through typical retail brokers or a Demat account.

But…
Currency Derivatives via Stock Exchanges:

  1. Permissible and legal
    You can trade instruments like USD/INR futures, EUR/INR options, etc. via Indian exchanges.
  2. Requires a trading account
    Not a Demat account—but both may be offered by the same broker.
  3. INR is the base currency
    All forex derivatives are priced in Indian Rupees.

In demat gold is traded as ETF, zero risk

question, usually around this time everyday, price tries to break out of a range and then fluctuates slowly bouncing in and out of a somewhat tight range, is this just due to low volume?

if iv entered in early should i just accept the fact im in early and price wont make big moves at this time of day

basically, i always enter too early and start doubting my analysis when in reality its just low volume timing

Dont worry , it happens to the best of us ..
Also, you cant expect gold to NOT give crazy moves even when it is low volume time - Trade with caution ! caz this mf can give you 200 pips in 5 mins even if its not the time for US open
Also, just keep a SL regardless of what entry you're taking that will keep your mind at ease if at all it surges in the opposite direction .
