DislikedFor XAU/USD trading, once again I’d like to remind you that the first principle is you can scale your risk. To correct my previous mistakes, I’ve discovered through practical experience that at my current broker, a contract size of 100 (I’m not sure if the unit is ounces) is worth $10 per pip. This allows me to convert my stop‑loss in pips into a percentage risk. The 21‑period ADR is currently 900 pips per day, so if I risk only 1 unit 0.5% (300 pips) I know exactly how many lots to open with my current equity—approximately 0.06 lots....Ignored

Disliked{quote} What percentage of risk do you take? {quote} For the take profit, it’s RR 1, or 300 pips if that’s what you mean, or a maximum of RR2 (600 pips), never the full RR3 (900 pips). So if 0.5% risk, we aim for 0.5% return or 1% return. So from now on the discussion will be about percentages, not the number of pips won or lost. I’ve observed for 18 years that hardly anyone cares about this except a few traders like Tah, Fisher, and Hanover. They can scale their risk.Ignored

Disliked{quote} That's not what I wanted to see, but rather the contract specifications on your broker — or simply, what's the real pip value in dollars for XAU/USD at your broker cent account? 0.1$ or 0.01$? Only after that can you calculate the optimal lot size based on the percentage of risk you’re taking from your equity. Whats is 10% to SL?{image}

Disliked{quote} 10% to SL means that i risk only 10% if my trade hits SL ... normally i didn't lose that much as the price enter the zone sometimes i will decide to cut loss or entry on the lower timeframe with tighter SL if the price show rejection on the zone ... its will depends on the price action ... as the specifications ... below are the screenshot of my xauusd specifications so what can we tell about this specifications ? {image} {image}Ignored
