Said it back in December: if a politician wants a 5% tax increase, they say they want a 15% increase and work down from there, acting like they "lost" the whole way down. I figured tariffs would be the same.....then the foam board of death appears and I say "wow, 10% down to 5% is NOT this guy's plan".

All of this is to say, of COURSE he would come down. Keeping tariffs at current levels would secure impeachment before the mid terms as the global economy cratered. Many republicans would distance themselves from the policies if they wanted to keep their jobs.

There will be some "wins" he'll achieve. The US consumer will pay extra to the federal government in goods from China (and other countries), but the administration will sell the final outcome as a "win" no matter what transpires. And, when if/when it hurts the economy at all, it was someone else's fault. Pretty simple (albeit disdainful for those adversely affected) political practice.

....and in the end, the price action will rule all as it tends to do

Hopium is too strong. Markets will take advantage.

I don't often make predictions, but I will now: /Es up 20, /nq up 100 at the future open (just my own prediction, and that might be "light")....It also doesn't mean those values can hold 5 minutes, let alone through Monday's open. I wouldn't be surprised to see 2-3x those numbers.

I would take the opposite side of that trade......if I understood/believed in the concept of Bitcoin. As such, dropping $190k of initial buying power on a /BTC future seems like gambling. Obviously, the market is huge, so there has to be SOME validity to it.

Whatever the case, the /BTC should open up 1%+ as "risk on" will be in full swing and FOMO on Bitcoin is absolutely real.
