He is a fool, you're right Pres Trump, after covid when his buddy Biden flooded the economy with new money, and causing hyper inflation, he didn't act at all and keep on telling the public it will be transitory. I just wonder when this transitory situation will end, because inflation is still unacceptably high.

You do understand that he wants Powell to do the same thing you accuse Biden of doing, right?! At least Powell was addressing a real problem (covid slowdown) the first time based on actual data. He was not trying to address a problem self-created unnecessarily by Trump when he started a disorganized world wide trade war. And, btw, he DID act by raising interest rates after it turned out not to be transitory. So, you're wrong on basically all counts...

Well, without major damage to economy and employment (refer to data, but not to zerohedge drool) Mr Powell brought inflation back to acceptable level. Annualized PCE is less then 3%, unemployment rate is less then 4.5%. Kudos to Mr Powell.
