Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA)

  1. Positions are added to the same pair using a fixed lot size.
  2. Example: 0.10 → 0.10 → 0.10
  3. Lot size remains the same as positions increase.

Martingale

  1. Positions are added to the same pair using increasing lot sizes.
  2. Example: 0.10 → 0.20 → 0.40
  3. Lot size increases as positions increase.

Blueberry Funded labels DCA type of trading as Martingale and considers it gambling, even though the actual method used is DCA with a fixed lot size.

Are there other prop firms that don’t allow DCA?

It sounds like there was a system level issue at that prop firm. Probably due to a technical error or backend validation issue.

I would ask why a passed test is being treated as failed, and why the refund is dependent on user cancellation.

This is what happens when prop firms create performance metrics. It seems purely statistical. It doesn’t consider:

  1. How much risk was taken
  2. Whether drawdowns were within acceptable limits
  3. Whether losses were controlled

It doesn’t reward good risk management. It just favors even P/L distributions.

A trader who takes one large profit and keeps losses small, like Trader C, might actually be safer and more disciplined than someone who takes large losses and wins occasionally, like Trader A.

The formula doesn’t measure risk quality. It just measures uniformity.

Message them on their social media, they're probably more likely to respond faster since it's public. Something like “I passed my test on 4/9, got approval, but the PRO account setup failed and support hasn’t responded in days. Can someone at @takeprofittrader help?”

I should have said the more days you trade and not the more you trade

Consistency score is calculated suming up the daily P&L.

So FN has officially gone into the futures biz. It looks interesting however its hella expensive, I'm not sure how they will compete with the current offers from other firms.

$199 for a 50k account and they only offering a 10% discount.

I remember seeing an advert saying that's all you pay, no activation fees or so. I haven't checked the details.

good idea, but I am not sure what kind of the problems this TAKEPROFITTARDER would create in future. Trying to go with easy ones with good policy and support.
I tried them because of their 25K with EOD DD, even though it becomes Trailing DD in PRO.

in my opinion, TakeProfitTrader is NOT WORTH the Efforts and Money.

They made cfd prop in futures. Its expensive and the rules are just as tight as a futures company. No activation fee is true though. I didnt see anything interesting in their offering for futures
