Today the market seems the opposite, US yields are up, USD is up but not for safe haven demand. The opposite, USD is recovering and the risk is on today. SPX is going up. Oil is also going up.
Safe havens like Gold, JPY and CHF are going down. Signing that USD strength doesn't come from the safe haven demand but it stems from the market feeling optimistic about the US economy or pessimistic about the others
I wouldn't short USD nor Gold today, buying safe havens looks risky too. Buying UJ and SPX looks tempting.
Tricky pairs to avoid trading today imo: XAUUSD, AUDUSD, NZDUSD, GBPUSD, USDCAD
