TP1 hit—locked in some profit and moved the rest to BE. Let’s see if price can push to TP2. Just letting it do its thing now.

Closed the trade at 1:1 RRR across the board. Decided to secure everything and call it a wrap for this one. On to the next!

Here is a probability that few will believe -

ADR(60) which covers about 3 months, is 3849 pips or $38.50

Today's range is 3838 so basically 100% of that, and at that point, it bounced, see the chart.

Shorts from 3100 might be worried soon, thinking why didn't I get out?

As expected, the ADR(10) which covers the last 2 trading weeks, is higher at 4543 due to the recent volatility.

Gold – 04 April 2025 Overview

Following the announcement of reciprocal tariffs by President Trump and gold hitting a new all-time high of $3,167 per ounce, we saw strong profit-taking during the London session and the first hour of the NYSE. This was largely expected, as gold had already priced in the U.S. tariff news. Additionally, with the start of a new month and quarter, such moves are typical due to portfolio rebalancing and flow adjustments.
Yesterday’s market action felt reminiscent of the early days of the COVID crisis, with a broad-based "sell-everything" sentiment sweeping across U.S. equities, the dollar (DXY), and gold alike.
From a technical standpoint, gold retraced to a key support level at $3,055/oz — the previous all-time high reached in March 2025.
Today's market focus will be on the U.S. employment data: the Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) and Unemployment Rate. These releases are critical due to the Fed’s dual mandate — promoting maximum employment and ensuring price stability.

  1. A weaker-than-expected NFP alongside a higher unemployment rate could trigger fresh risk-off sentiment, pressuring the DXY and increasing demand for gold.
  2. Conversely, strong NFP figures and a lower unemployment rate could ease some market fears, support the DXY, and possibly extend gold’s corrective move — with potential tests of the $3,055 or even $3,018 levels.

Meh, I took profits around 90s London doing London things, sentiment is still in tact though wouldn't be suprised to see it falling hard again but I'd imagine it will wait for NFP and NY

I wrote that post when the candlestick was at the position marked by the blue vertical line on the chart, and the price indeed rejected at the most risky sell level I mentioned, which was 3138-3136. So what’s your issue with my analysis? What mistake is there?

The price levels I provided are merely guidelines. Traders who know how to read the chart will enter when there’s a rejection or breakout at those levels, and when the price action hints at an entry. Not all levels will be reached, and not all levels are 100% perfect. These levels can also be used for reverse entries if a market reversal occurs.

Occasionally, read and view what others share with a broader perspective, not just from a narrow viewpoint
