Hello to everyone here,
I am not new here but have left trading for a long while only to come back again despite the losses, lols and funny thing is I meet a discussion between jBlanked and BestTraderEV that just started making me laugh uncontrollably because both voices were speaking to me. What a coincidence but anyways I choose to continue which confirms B's thoughts of people foolishly sticking to what is causing them heavy losses but also gives credence to jB's convictions of love what you do and dedicate to it then you will bring out possibilities from the seemingly impossible.
My opinion is both of you are equally right but how every situation is viewed and consequently handled will determine the end result(s).
However, how we view and thus handle cannot be decided or judged by anyone so all men to their ways and life goes on.
Just my thoughts though.

Now to my request.
I have never seen this coded anywhere so maybe it's not doable: An indicator not originally embedded into MT4 or MT5 that can utilize the "Apply to - First Indicator Data and Previous Indicator Data" feature like those originally bundled with the MT4/MT5 Platform when attached to a chart.
What I need is an MTF MA indicator for MT4 that has all the full functions of the standard MA in Mt4 including the Apply to 1st Indicator and Previous Indicator Data feature.
A big thank you to anyone that decides to help out on this or even responds to educate me better concerning the possibility or otherwise of my request.
This humble request goes out to all the coders in here, thank you very much.

Master please help to make indicator count from previous day to current day, additional 5 sessions or make unique id to enable apply multiple times on chart
if you can add button will be great but if not thanks for what you have done

In private, I've always told friends who ask about what strategy is good, this sentence:
A strategy that can't be taught to a 7-year-old child or a 70-year-old person is not worth it. I couldn't even teach what I know to my own sister, and she gets very confused and gave up after trying twice. It's okay for a strategy to be complex and have a thousand indicators. But all those indicators, the strategy logic, and things that need to be checked for entry should be done by the machine, and ultimately, the machine's output should be that you sell or buy at this point. If the strategy reaches this point, then a 7-year-old child and a 70-year-old person can execute it.

I gave explanations in the previous post. I made the indicator available to everyone for free.
Although there are dozens of tutorials about it on YouTube. Similar ideas have been used by people on this website for years, and last year, after testing a similar idea once, I thought it was foolish. But when I decided it's either success or death, I looked at everything with open eyes and a positive view, and took time to understand the initial idea behind it. I spent time and watched all YouTube videos about it. I took about 500 screenshots of 2 different currency pairs and tried to examine that one point. I tested about a year and a half of data, and the result told me it's worth spending time on, we just need to wait to get from point A to point B. In another topic, I freely provided the result to an unknown person and explained to go from point A to point B. Then they ask what about point X or Z.
In these cases, I prefer to stay silent or advise trying another method.

You say it's allowed to share advice or ideas here. Whether my method works or not, in the next step, I test this idea below. I don't limit myself to one method or anything. My goal is to be a trader and get better at it every day. Even if my beginner coding ability is taken away from me right now, I would choose four indicators, learn them completely, and profit with them.

I take no responsibility for the link below and advice, suggestion, or any other word that needs to be said. I tested that idea in my own way, considering zero spread and zero commission. I spent some time on this idea mentioned in the link below, and with some changes, the result was what you see in the table below. I won't explain further. Note that these results may be incorrect, and I may have made mistakes in calculations or coding due to being an amateur.

Why should people who have some special talents, like musical talents, be priveledged in society and make a ton-laod more money than those who aren't talented? The answer is simple - because it's basically the same scenario as trading. Those who provide the money for the singers, actors, musicians, etc. have been scammed by "brokers" into paying them money. By brokers, in this case, I mean people like Simon C., people with whom you signed the deal! Yes, it's just another scam to get rich of of a whole bunch of succers who will pay in one way or another. Sometimes the ones providing the money are other in-betweens, who in turn pray on the big mass of succers.

This whole life is generally a big scam - people praying on other people, especially the billionairs who don't pay taxes, because they don't really own anything, just a bunch of unrealised shares. And the so-called regular people who barely have anything, they must pay taxes.
And the monarchs who kill other nations and for whom individual lives mean nothig, as long as their lunatic ideas (based on their mindset) come true.
And the rest who helplessly watch them do it and allow this whole scam to go on!

You need to build specific indicators for each case using iMAOnArray() for MQL4, or iCustom() and then do iMA for that price.
In MQL5 there is no iMAOnArray(), but we can do handle on handle.
Building one for every possible indicator is a more difficult job.

Sure, these people can press a button, or whatever, but that's not the problem.
If any idea can be encoded, understood by 7 and 70 y.o. person, and be effective at profiting - it will be the Holy Grail.
If it can be coded, but not understood by 7 and 70 y.o. person, then by your own definition it's not a good idea, even if it will be effective at profiting.
By your own definition!
However, it all comes down to reality and the actual live-trading conditions.

It's hard to explain an entire philosophy in a public setting.
That philosophy exists as a style in art, architecture, and more.
Its famous phrase in architecture is: "Less is more."

In this market, with the conditions that exist, there's no room for fear, doubt, etc.
You need to make decisions quickly.
If there are too many details, you either miss the opportunity or overlook something and lose.

You don't need to drop your idea, you just need to either learn to code, or ask someone to code it for you.

And read those two parts, again....
If it's hard to explain, that means the person attempting to explain it doesn't understand it.
Thus, this person can't or shouldn't teach it to anybody, because this person can't do it.

It's not hard to explain the philosophy.
The philosophy is false in it core assumptions.
Simplicity and complexity need to be first defined, and that can't be done.
I mean that we could define the borders of what we accept as simple, and what we accept as complex, but that would be an artificial, man-made limitation. What is complex for someone can be simple for another one.

OK, now you insist on automating...
The problem is that there is nothing simple about price fluctuations in time.
If it were simple, we would all have robots which make money for us.
And there are no mathematical rules by which the prices fluctuate.
If there were such rules, again we would all have robots which make money for us.
Also, just because we see some pattern on a chart, or we notice some behaviour, it doesn't mean that it's a rule.
And, in order to automate, it must be a rule...
See the contradiction?

And, because you mentioned it more than once, and I can't PM you:
Success in trading or death are not a true dichotomy!!!
A true dichotomy is either X is true, or X is not true.
If we don't have any method to show that X is not true, that doesn't mean that X is true.
If we don't have any method to show that X is true, that doesn't mean that X is not true.
It means only that we don't know.
We don't know is not part of the dichotomy.
Therefore, the true dichotomy is either I will be successful or I will not be successful.
And also, trading isn't the only field in which a person can be successful!

Gentlemen, could you please test the attached indicator to see if it recalculates (or repaints?) at any stage?
I ran it on the MT4 platform M1 chart, but there is no sign of any such movements.

It repaints on the current bar.
However, that's not the issue with this indicator.
The issue is if you can Buy at the price of the Lower Band, and Sell at the price of the Upper Band, and make profit.
And the answer is that you can't.
