My success rate is better in futures trading compared to fx.

For me this works :

50 k evals custom account with 2k MLL : Futures elite (purchase price 81 to 88 do;;ars )

Do for 3 to 4 days.. each day 800 to 1000. easy.

Meet 3k target, earn funded account.



50K funded : Futures elite

Earn profit of 300 to 400 per day.

Do for 5 to 6 days.

Earn 1500 too 1600 and meet consistency 40 %.

Stop trading once i earn a profit of 1.5 to 1.6k

With draw 1.5 k ( They pay 80 %, 1200 )

With Topstep 150k eval and funded : EOD Plan with MLL 4500. ( purchase price 150 + 150 dollars )

Earn 1000 to 1200 every day.

Do for 7 to 9 days to pass and earn funded 150k account.

Earn strictly 1000 ( max ) per day.

The account can be left for growth or withdraw 5k after earning 10k ( they pay 50 % of account profit )

All account need to be end of day strictly, as in forex prop. If i choose any account intraday plan, I fail.

I am not experienced though in the past, i passed few evals intraday plan with strict per day profit of 500 to 600.

Will be focussing for some time, all end of day plan only.

Today, I lost an eval account 50k with futures elite.

Today is 1 st day of eval.

First 20 micros gave me a profit of 1.3k.

The second 20 micros.. gave me a profit of 1620

I was waiting for another 80 dollars profit.

Alas.... the price reversed... reversed so quickly and with such speed in NY session to hit 2k MLL.

Account gone.

Lesson learnt : One day pass not suitable to me.

Another lesson learnt overall :

1) All funded account do seperately. I do this in early part of asia after tokyo open. I am able to do 300 to 350.

2) Eval account, do seperately.

3) Never do eval and funded at the same time.

After having lost an eval account 50k my mind is not peaceful at all.

I went to close to 3k profit, I have seen a overall profit of 2920 dollars.

Why i could not earn another 80 dollars ?

Bad luck ?

Will be tough mentally next 2 days after having lost an EVAL account today.

Thats why go for cheapest eval like APEX and YOLO or hedge them. Why to waste time on evals. I rather spend time on PA and trade them conservatively than wasting time on evals for 5 days and worst case trailing drawdown(even EOD) will get you.
Go 50K 61 ticks 10 NQ contracts chances of passing that is greater than doing 500-600$ trades with trailing or EOD and loosing them.

Have never traded NQ in the past.

Can buy cheap eval to try NQ.

Bulenox offers cheapest eval for 50k.

( I have passed a 50k eval intraday account ( Paid 15 dollars fee )with Bulenox but did not pay activation 148 until now fearing intraday option. )

Nav, hello. do you mind me asking why you opt for funded accounts rather than just trading your own money. Personally i have never done the funded route. Always trade my own capital but wondered if i am missing something. Funded just seems like too many rules and so much hassle. With your experience would you not be better using your own capital. Totally understand if you dont want to answer pal

Futures prop trading once it is learnt, very good option to trade.

Unlike mt4/mt5 , broker manipulation in futures prop platforms are limited to nil.

Slippage is limited.

One invests 80 / 50 dollar for a return of 1500 dollars in futures. in fx, impossible.

Rules are there but adopting to rules will make a person diciplined.

Rules are there to avoid loss of money.

In fx, personal account, one can follow similar rules, good for individuals.

Thanks for your reply, sorry for my late response. Its 1am here ( Scotland, Edinburgh ) and i am about to go to bed.

I find FX and Indices fairly easy tbh.. But by no means do i get every trade right, i dont but i manage the risk well. I trade most anything that moves if i seae a clear sutup. Having said that i have been trading for 3 decades so do have experience. I thought i was missing something with regards to funded accounts. Thanks again for replying and Good Luck with your accounts

Lesson ? Problem is not that its 1,2 or 7 day pass.

Problem is in traders "needs":

- I need to pass it in one day
- I need 20$ more to pass
- I need to pass it today because tomorrow is re-bill date
- I need one more 200$ day to get 1st payout
- and so on and on ........

When people are desperate for something, common sense goes out of window and the start doing dumb stuff.
When people start having needs like that, most likely account will be blown up in couple of hours.

I don't understand why so many traders here can focus on more than one trading challenge at one time. They must have super skills, unless the prop firm allows account copying. Focusing on just one might be better, and if someone has multiple challenges, one challenge could serve as the master to be copied. Of course, having multiple challenges increases costs. Besides, if a trader successfully gets one challenge funded, they can generate many small profits that can be withdrawn periodically—assuming it's a static challenge, not a trailing one.

The term "blown-up account" actually applies to real (live) accounts. In prop firms, there’s no blow-up, only failure. Hitting the drawdown limit, which typically ranges from -3% to -10%, applies to both Futures and Forex.

We can name it anyway we like. No no its not a failure its just a feedback...
My point was for Navk that traders don't fail because of the rules ( one day pass ).
They fail because they are desperate for money and I need ... I need ...

Yes, it could be. That's also why, in trading, a trader needs peace of mind. Ideally, there should be enough capital to cover living expenses and bills for, say, one-third of a year (four months), or one season in places with four seasons (about three months).

well, i thought of something.

How you approach your trading. Once you want to trade, it is not investment approach.

In investment, you can do a GIC. Wait for money to grow..

Trading is not like that, hope you understand what i mean.

It is one day pass or 4 day pass or pass within next subscription... or go on pay subscription until you pass.

Since , we are in trading business, let me put it in trading perspective.

1) One day pass is not my approach.
2) Taking 3 to 4 days to pass,i would call it systematic approach. This is what i wish to do and this is what i do.
3) Taking 30 days to pass before next subscription. If one does this, it is not worth it, because it just adds pressure.
4) If you want to pay subscription until you pass, is it worth ?

And my point was ..having seen profit of 2920... the price did not do something more so that i see the profit target of 3000. what do i say for that ? I would say it is bad luck.

As i said, my plan to pass and as well as approach to futures trading is systematic, i mean, do this for this day, this week something like that. It was not desperate attempt to pass in 1 day as i said, but my trading system produced 2920 dollars but could not produce balance 80 dollars. I traded first 20 micros to earn 1300 and then second 20 micros for 1620 only and not 1700. It is just a miss due to bad luck or something, and definitely not a failure and blowing out as you call it desperate attempt to pass.

And most importantly i wanted to share this experience, because people like you when read it, something will cook up in mind how to approach to evals.

Good luck with your approach in trading. If you are trading your own money or doing for a prop firm. Share your experience too so that everyone will take a point or two from your experience.

You have taken something from my post, that is desperate attempt to pass will not work out ( though this is not my intention,because i am 100 yrs old, lol, have seen everything in this 100 yrs )

Everyone needs money for living.

Do not write your life experience here, this is related to trading and prop trading. Write trading experience. How you approach to prop trading or firms since you are writing this in prop firm thread.

The only approach is to see how to win consistently ( I am saying in trading perspective ). Do whatever you want or whatever works . And especially in prop trading.

I am just posting a mt4 chart for gold, 5 min chart.

I usually analyze in mt4 and trade in projectx.

Is it difficult to to pass an evaluation in 1 day ( that is friday, yesterday ) ?

I just missed the target by 80 dollars, that is all.

With this chart, one can earn tonnes of dollars. lol
