While everything on tradewise a chart could also be done mathematically & methodologically I found the best initial way (for ME, I mean) was to see all this visually via the use of a Simulator across many past days of trading.

I chose the 15m chart timeframe in the end to do this so that I could also ‘see’ the current (15m) swing targets on a full screen at normal resolution/candle size with a variety of the set trader attractors added & also subtracted till I found a chart that was not overloaded with horizontal data lines (they are just PRICE as such).

The free MT4 Simulator below will allow you to do testing with your (broker provided) tick-by-tick data which is NOT volume - just market activity. The Simulator works great on a live chart date even on the weekends when currency markets are closed so is great for testing, and by that I mean a visual understanding & observation of the delta change of each candle and how some candles are quick/dynamic to build and others are slow (aggregations).

This also relates to specific session observations but is always best around price (ie the horizontal lines).

Try and observe then ‘how’ the market moves (reacts) as it approaches targets, what price then does when it reaches or blasts through targets, how long price stays at certain targets, and which direction(s) price then takes after the targets (especially major swing points).

I myself (and just a personal preference is all) have no set formal methodology of what to do next (and trade) which is based on any formula. But this CAN be done also methodologically, of course.

Once a base understanding of the daily market mechanics is ‘seen’ & absorbed then you can add any (imho) indicators or set templates of your own choosing to give more structured ideas to your trading plans of when you might trade (Price & Time).

There are many great threads operational on FF at present with good ideas & templates that could overlay across the market mechanics to fine tune your own operations & preferred approaches.

Plus this one hr advance also provides temptation to watch the NY opening ffs lol (10pm for me now, not 11pm)
While then would probably have to observe it all for an hour till any fake’n’flip might transpire, so the “extra” hour is essentially lost for me again.

Maybe I’ll hit the sack as usual as Asia & Franky/London often provide a days requirements with lesser time involvement. We shall see.

You don't don't know when you have it good, in the UK we have to adjust 4 times each year as the UK & US seem to do DST on different weekends.

I know Musk was pushing Pres.Trump to cancel DST from this year, but I see it didn't happen.

I could have saved a whole year right at the start of my currency trading beginnings if I had been given the idea early to watch price "move" candle by candle on a simulator rather than go through umpteen indicators to see which one best showed the 'next' likely price direction (as many guru websites suggested).

Then george showed the market organisation for how it chased 'past' swing targets all just sitting there in front of our eyes.
(My fave was the herd mentaility lineup when, as george said, they usually blow through all the stops later with just ONE large candle. Right where the lineup looked like a perfect support or resistance line).

As I trade intra-day, 80% in Asia, & then a little later in the Franky-London shakeout and/or runner, all the inner targets (trader attractors) now work out fine for me.
Else george's 15m swing targets would do the job nicely imo.

As always imho, there is no "one" way to trade these markets or even one way which is "best".
Maths can do it and ... so will our eyes I reckon.
Why not combine both.

Targets

Markets chase them (imo)
The Rub is there is ALWAYS a market target, both above AND below price at any point in time.

Wider targets provide larger profits.
However, wider targets may go through runs against the larger target direction first & take out a ‘nearer’ target in the opposite direction (NOT always lol).
Causing DD prior to the target in the original wider direction being finally chased to completion.

So which target will be chased next.
Well imo unless price is NOW at an extreme (maths) point, then it could be either direction first.
Why.
You tell me lol.
Personally I believe its due to aggregations necessary by the larger market/market makers/liquidity providers who are likely tallying up all the retail buys & sells currently in the pool and shaking out weak hands first before price is moved to its (their preferred) destination.

All are my assumptions, of course.
However I do TRADE to those assumptions. And they provide what I need at the moment (personally).
Each to their own in this trading game.

Final puzzle. A rhetorical thought question.
Could a buyer AND a (separate) seller BOTH be a winner, or loser in their trade, if trading at the same time.

I dislike posting up (just) winning trades, or any trades for that matter, just that sometimes it is easier to understand my (target) jibber by seeing this stuff visually.

I hope this gives some easier view to what I often post about regarding targets and trader attractors (and repetitive market mechanics).

Trade safe imo, they're aggregating again. Once the 'pool' is settled they make their next move - up OR down.
I might slip back for pre-Franky but keep an eye on things in between.
