To clarify, hot CPI, first people would imply this as an evidence that FED could raise rate, or trade war and tariffs really put the economy on edge of another inflation. Doesn't matter true or false, the balance has shifted to USD, and I should respect that

But when things were settled down. FED official would continue to show no change in policies that fast. And tradewar still there.

They cant cut or raise I believe because of the uncertainty around the tariff situation atm.

Yes. Lots of talk about how tariffs would cause inflation and uncertainty, which I believe not the main reason why every central banks are buying a huge amount of gold. The same as war, those things rather not have long term effect on gold.

And some might disagree, but tariffs can't lead to inflation. Whatever media say, price change due to changing in structural demand and supply never is the cause of inflation.

Harsh but correct, Gold relies heavily on weekly bias. News or not it's simply supply and demand when trading gold.

that could just mean market priced in...

we did drop from 2942...
and from todays high and low....2900 highs and 2864 lows today, spent majority of the day in the 2880 zone. so could say its priced in a bit? still volatile though

Even though the CPI shows a strong USD, gold might still rise because of things like investor sentiment, central bank policies, or global events that can push prices in unexpected ways. Big players in the market can also move prices. It’s just the way markets react to different factors.

That’s why it’s so important to take profits when you can and manage your risk-reward. We never really know what the market will do, sometimes it can change in just a split second.
