Yes all the indis I use (bar one I see) can be found by going to my (or anybody’s) FF home page and click on Forum Attachment paperclip - Files
The indi not on my page is just a Standard Floor Pivot indi I found once here on FF (cheers hesron) which did all the simple things I required
(ie month, day & year).

And with the day open indi parameter I use three indis on the same chart with diff parameters for day open, London open and New York open.
If doing the same then make sure the final one you add is for the day open parameter (0 hrs) else it switches the colours around on the new day start lol.


I also repeat I am not a pivot trader (ie believer) which I reckon is around 50/50 liklihood of up or down depending on market structure and TIME at the moment.
So I am only interested in what happens “after” a pivot line aggregation/rotation (or a Grid round number etc etc) and not what I “think” might happen right AT those trader attractors. My reasoning is that with the possibility of retail trade aggregations by LPs & MMs that price could well go ‘against’ the logical at the time direction for a few or many pips till the aggregations all balance out and price can then return/go in its original preferred direction - ie after any Fake N Flips hahaa.

I try & trade safe & well but also do get caught on the wrong side as well at times and have to decide what to do then, the market doesn’t care so WE must imho.

Cheers again but mate I prefer not to post actual trades (too much). I actually run two live accounts, and the trades I post are from what I deem the "trading' live a/c while the setups I search for are from the other 2nd live a/c with ALL the indis but which I DON'T trade on (I just prefer their candle feeds is all).

So my trade charts will never include all the indis that I post on my review charts (see below) as I don't let my trade broker see what I am looking at
(as if they might care though hahaa , so it's just my paranoia I guess )

Here's a trade from about (edit: one year AND) 8 months ago, they are all a similar look I reckon after i watch what has been happening at & in between the trader 'attractors'

I don't ever suggest where (or how) people should trade. It's an individual thing imho.

But looking at the end of day chart different traders might be trading at different times .... SESSIONS I mean, OR the times in between sessions.

So, on the chart below, pick a point in time (on a simulator is best) and think whether you could or SHOULD be trading there and WHAT trade might you enter.
Best way to learn imo (better on a simulator as no actual cash is at risk in the early stages)

I did download your Indies and added each to a chart. You've customized some colors at least, and perhaps some other settings I don't know about yet.

Your colors work well (including your light background and bars), so it really would be helpful to get a template. You probably know how, but it's as easy as:

In a chart, Right-click, choose Template, then "Save Template..." Pick any name. ("TimeTells.tpl")


In the "File" menu, pick "Open Data Folder", then navigate into "templates".


Find and upload the template file here. (If it barks at uploading a ".tpl" file, then making a .zip of it should work).

Am I correct that you're manually annotating your chart with Text objects that say: BRN RN WeekPP "prior NY Open" etc. ?
Or have I yet to discover some indicator/chart setting(s) that shows those labels?

Yes i know how to create a tpl but i shan't be doing that. For my own reasons.
PLUS I personally do not think the template (mine or anybody's) is the point. Or the purpose. Let me try & explain my view a bit better.

Templates & Indi's are a distraction to the real purpose of anything posted which is at its base the (my) belief that the markets are highly organised
(note NOT manipulated, that is not my word ... anymore, well anyway)

The purpose of what anyone of us should be grasping imho is that IF (because it is an IF) the markets are highly & well organised then THAT organisation is at the heart of what we (I) should be looking at and not the indis and not the lines or words but WHAT the market is doing at ALL and ANY Inflection Point (see pic) where price stalls, aggregates or blasts through or rebounds. Unless a trader is trying to write an EA then it is not necessary to consider anything else but WHAT is happening with PRICE+TIME.

PS Oh yes, sorry, you have asked twice. NO I do not annotate ANY line of any indi on my chart. Which is why the colours are different - so I can recognise just visually what is where and either ahead OR behind price. While you can if you hover your mouse over an indi it will tell you the indicator name also.

I've taken an initial look at the indicators you referred to. Based on your comments, I'm certain you would agree with my assumption that you don't "need" anything by way of improvements/edits, but perhaps you might have some "wants", something that would make them easier to use. What might those be, if any?

A few observations thus far:

1. The only problem indicator so far is the "Daily-Weekly-Monthly Hi-Low.mq4" that displays the High & Low of each timeframe, but displayed one session right, so what you see is the previous session H/L's. AND, with a different line code, you see the current sessions H & L also.
   
   A good idea, but...
   
   The code is a complete disaster! It was written ~2003, then modified ~2006 by CJA, who at the time was still learning best practices. You can find at least 2 posts where the bugs were pointed out, and he said it was terrible and needed to be re-written from scratch, but he didn't have the time. The biggest problems are: The code deletes ALL Rectangles, Texts, and TrendByAngles on the chart (the last one is funny because it doesn't even create any itself). So adding it to a chart with these objects on will destroy your work, poof, gone! Furthermore, it recalculates everything with every tick, so then it creates/deletes/creates/deletes/creates/deletes/... constantly, and especially bad when a News event occurs causing 100's of ticks-per-second.
   
   Shabs19 posted a variation of the same indicator (named "MTF_HI_LOW_v1.1j.mq4") with *some* improvements in this thread. But a better post with his source is here. (Colors & line codes are different).
   
   I made my own variation which at least removes the ObjectsDeleteAll(0, OBJ_RECTANGLE) etc.
   All objects use a "createdObjectPrefix" and it deletes only those objects.
   I also limit it to run once-per-second, so even though it's inefficient, at least news events won't trash your performance.

2. On various indicators I've changed a few colors for my personal convenience, which is a trivial edit.
3. You have one labeled "Daily AUS open line". I observe that it is not "AUS" market related at all. On the usual broker feed with 5-Daily-bars-per-week (the best timezone IMO), then the offset of "3.0" corresponds to a year-round Sydney, AUS time of between 10a and 12noon.
   
   That said, during summer, "3.0" matches the JPY 9am start time, which I have noticed is a useful target on the charts. During USA Winter, the proper offset is 2.0; during summer, 3.0. I have uploaded a "JPY" line with 2.0 for winter, and the Inputs section has some "_INFO_" notes the mention these instructions. (Attached)
4. Next, this hardly matters much, but the "Daily LON open line" is the correct London 8am open time most of the year, but for about 2-3 weeks in March, and a week in Oct/Nov, the lines incorrectly mark an hour earlier. IMO, no big deal because when wrong, it instead marks the 1-hour earlier Frankfurt market open time instead, which is often relevant too.
5. I notice the "Daily US open line" has a default offset = 16.5 which corresponds to 9:30am, the opening of US equities.
   On your charts, I've only seen the US 8am market open line. However, as I glance at some chart history, there is evidence that BOTH opening prices are of interest (on <= M30, to see the proper 9:30 bar open).
   
   My suggestion would be to have a separate "Daily NYSE open line" (offset = 16.5) and "Daily NY open line" (change offset to 15.0). (Attached)
6. All of the "Daily * open line" indicators are simple and fast to execute, but I did notice a bug that it might draw a short line on a Sunday open, which has nothing to do with the market time. I'm still investigating.
   
   You made a comment that I haven't been able to reproduce any problem, but it might be related (?). Can you elaborate?

   (No indicator should affect the colors of another indicator's lines/objects *unless* it happens to be drawing directly on top of the same thing. Maybe that's what's happening, but at 00:00 which is the bug that I observed).
   
   For all of these "Daily * open line" indicators...
   Since there is no actual TimeZone adjustments done in the code, based either on DST/ST schedules nor broker TimeZone, the settings would need to be manually occasionally changed if *not* using the preferred "NY-7" feed, which you and I have. (e.g. NY 5pm = broker 00:00). (If "NY-7" feed, the JPY open line will need changes 2x/year).
7. Maybe more comments later since I haven't finished reviewing the Grid nor Pivot indicators.

Mate I admire your dedication to coding.

My own dedication, as I have mentioned earlier, is purely towards what I term the market mechanics. How the market moves play out repetively.
I rarely let indicators distract me from the market behaviour as price is flowing.

I also specifically turn OFF the day hi/lo for the current day. My eyes can find those peak points without having another horizontal line adding to the mix.

The reason for the yesterday hi/lo’s being on my charts will be best understood by way of observation over time and how the market interacts with them on subsequent days.

London Open & New York Open parameters I will adjust by one hour twice a year each daylight savings period.
I also use this site which shows the opens AND CLOSES for the major centres I trade
(well I don’t trade NY but you know what I mean).

I am an ex software programmer myself (self taught) on Clipper, a C++ language dedicated to the dbase dataset operation. When I came to Forex and spoke for many hours with george, andy & Kevin I came to the understanding (for myself, I mean, as a novice trader with a long background in horse playing purely by maths initially then adding observation as a major aspect later to enhance the maths) that I would never code an indicator for forex currency trading as my goal was to understand the market mechanics.

All other indi’s are merley props on my screen that I can see from across the office to alert me that price+time suggest I now take interest in the market aggregations that are happening (aggregations are my assumption).

So that when market structure becomes compressed, and then quickly broken/tested for period (5min chart will do for me) and the actual direction breakout move commences I ‘may’ then enter a trade and trade between the next two Target Trader Attractors (and further out targets if market is ‘moving’ with momentum) .

I wish you well and thank you for providing indicaters for others on FF but honestly have a look at at my day end Review Charts and there is nothing else I will require imo.

I don’t actually trade indis, I trade PA around Price+Time following time compressions/inflection periods. I maybe get in twice in Asia (a more demanding session) and then return later for pre-Franky, the potential Franky Fake’n’Flip and then the potential London fake and maybe a later Bermuda Triangle. Round Numbers are good also imo as it seems many traders show up there, both Buyers AND Sellers which gives structure trading its chance.


I will post up a GJ Review chart below for our day so far on GJ and maybe you could post your own so that I can compare.
I would be interested to see.

IMO, if banning is a real solution to the problem, you need to ban a lot of things. Better put a bin bag on and bring back the stone age.

What about tobacco, fast and junk food, processed food, drug abuse, bureaucracy in the healthcare system, consumption of meat, and use of harmful chemicals in farming
