No, I don't have a trading community. I'm an independent trader. I do everything myself. There are times when I make a profit, and there are times when I take a loss. That's normal. I usually have a daily target. I trade using key levels and templates for sessions, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly charts. But every day I use session and daily templates. Sometimes I feel stuck and don't see opportunities, but there are also times when I see opportunities clearly. But I'm still in the learning process. And I have no other job. I only trade and focus on the gold market.

PM me, theres a group of us, small members. im the only 1 or 2 gold traders, the rest just trade indices but they're brokers/investmentbankers/data analyst so you get really good news/intel from them and how to manage super / investments stock market/ETF wise.

thats good, usually when i dont see opportunities its only coz i only know a few set ups. like strategies etc.
and tbh thats all you need, you dont need fibs/elliot wave/abc/liqudity/highs/lows/ranges. you can just know a few and youll be fine, if 1 trade makes you a days wage....they in theory...you only need to do 1 trade a day. and before you know it...account grows after 24 months. trade the same way with higher lot size...= double days pay in a day off 1 trade etc. trading should be simple. dont stress.
sometimes i see an opportunity im 50/50 as i dont know what to look out for but i guess the direction. but i always wondered why it went my way so i study it. its normal haha

Okay, I'll send you a private message. My daily trading plan starts by looking at how the previous US session ended. Then, once the Asian session is over, I decide whether to keep my position or re-enter based on the Asian session's high and low points. I usually take my profits based on the Asia Kill Zone range. I'm generally able to make a consistent 100-300 pips a day.

As an old-timer, let me give you a few advices you might appreciate in the long term:

  1. remember there are only 2 approaches to trading: gut (discretionary) trading and mechanical trading. I prefer mechanical trading because you can actually backtest with real value. Most traders here do discretionary trading which includes all the fibs, trendlines, channels and other stuff with subjective bias. There is also a 3rd approach called "knowing insider information" but none of us do have access to it.
  2. be opportunistic. That also includes having overnight trades while you sleep, which I hate with all my heart but I do anyway.
  3. don't care about actual news results, remember news are only vehicle (and often delayed) for market to make a predetermined move. The only exception are strong unexpected news (like war) which we can't predict.
  4. never ask the question "why" because it does not matter.
  5. losses are part of trading (this one you seem to grasp already which is great)
  6. not trading means not losing (instead of not winning). In other words, FOMO is a curse. Timing is more important than "being in the market" (like now for example)
  7. Learn to use either excel or google sheets to optimize your system, if you do mechanical trading. In case of gut trading, do the journo thing. Both help tremendously.

And this is why i back test the way i trade so i know when i enter trade...i dont need to worry about risk reward...if i take this same set up 10 times how often do i win? i will manage my positions accordingly. and if there is no set up for me...i dont take the trade...no trade is still a win
Amateur traders think about how much they could make, professionals see how much they could lose. basically pros manage risk.

Hi Mades, I really appreciate your comments and suggestions. Thank you so much. Yes, I'm more of a mechanical or technical trader when it comes to making decisions based on charts. I've learned a little bit about fundamentals, but I don't follow them completely because, from my observation, news doesn't always have a full impact, as it eventually comes back to technical analysis anyway. I prefer day trading. One to three entries a day are enough for me, sometimes just one entry is enough to last the whole day. Every day, week, or month, I have a trading plan, such as how much profit I want to make for the day, week, or month. So far, so good. Simple strategy, but it makes consistent profit. Thank you. Yes, I agree. 2 years of experience is indeed considered very raw in this field. I spent months trying to understand and use support and resistance (SNR), supply and demand (SND), fair value gaps (FVG), Fibonacci retracements (Fibo), trendlines, moving averages (EMA), etc. But in the end, I focused only on the previous high, low, and mid key levels, as well as today's key levels (Asian session high, low, mid). I focus on rejections or breakouts at those key levels. And I only trade on the M15 timeframe. So far, that's the best and has been very successful for my personal trading journey.

Lmao. Gold's value is increasing now. No freaking way they gonna accept that price.

This move is seeking zone to trade from. If they gonna go sell, probably they gonna agree around 2790 - 80ish. but depends on how high price gonna go.
