I'm still long. Trump is going to weaponize the dollar through tariffs even more than the Dems did, that will cause other countries to want to reduce their dollar holdings even more. Just don't know how low this move goes.

Im personally jaded on prop firms. I was funded with "the funded trader" and then they went upside down and revoked my account along with everyone elses. I then had a 100k funding pips account, was funded. was up 60k in total during funded period. I had a day i was trading that I was up 10k trading on the day so i took a slightly riskier trade and lost 3200. They called it a 3% single trade rule breach and cancelled my account and I didn't get to take any of my profits. There's always a bunch of rules and they are designed to trip you up. You have to make sure you read them all, and alot of the firms have different rules for your trial phases vs the funded phase.

disagree on the outlook. I think the market does too. You got Elon with his "doge" dept of government efficiency who wants to slash a bunch of agencies and make government more efficient, pay down debts and restore value to the dollar.

is it not more save to trade with FTMO , its called to be one of the biggest and savties prop firms
i really wonder why not everybody trades with FTMO

He could cut loads of agencies and it still wouldn't make a difference. The entire payroll of the federal gov is $270B

Social Security is $1.5T a year and growing
Medicare is $900B a year and growing
Interest Cost on debt $950B and jury is out on which way thats going

That's like 60% of US governemnt spending....

How deep you wanna cut the military, medicaid grants, snap, DOE grants...

The reality is that if people want a fiscally conservative government, it would need substantial tax rises + spending cuts and anyone promising to massive tax cuts and spending cuts to leave us in the same state or worse...

So gold over the next 4 years will probably be good, so will equities as we'll probably get to see some of that Japan energy as stagflation runs pushes up equities markets. Odds are large scales cuts would also send the US into a fairly deep recession...

So I get back to the possibility that either they're happy to jump into the economic and political abyss or they're lying.

Not really intending to be political, just how I view this sector of reality

it's an insight into the objectives of what a Trump administration is looking to accomplish with smaller government, putting America first, restoring value to the dollar with all of the inflation that has gone on with the prior/still current administration. Reopening the US oil fields etc etc

The only thing your friend Elon will do is take away government contracts from Boing and other suppliers and give them to Space X. But in the USA do you know what conflict of interest is?

Not my friend but I do like Elon, seems like a smart and genuine guy. Im fine with spacex having contracts over boeing, you've heard about all the issues with the boeing planes havent you? They have some real quality control issues.

Stop the lying and fear mongering. You don't know Elon Musk neither do you know what he'll do. Secondly, he doesn't have the power to award contracts. Thirdly, there is a vetting process for such things.

Yes, you're right, I too like him very much, especially because he smokes a lot of joints.
However, if he spent some of his money cleaning up tons of plastic from the Pacific Ocean, I would appreciate it more instead of thinking about the bullshit that is Mars.
