Theatrics. The nuclear nation-states do not want to be at war with each other. So, if they hate each other, they will settle for symbolism. Iran shoots 200 ballistic missiles into Israel and one person is killed? Please. (And, of course, they let the world know this was coming.) Same as last time. Everyone knows Israel has nuclear weapons. What most don't assume is that Iran does, too. An even if they don't have sophisticated warheads, they could put dirty bombs on the ground all over Israel. So, I'd guess Israel/US will blow up some petrochemical infrastructure. Brent/WTI will continue to ramp up, spike day-of and week after the attack, and that sets up a nice winter fade.

By issuing a statement like that they expect Iran would make an attack at Israel. They try to provoke Iran so that Iran will attack Israel first and they will have the reason to counter attack Iran. The world will condemn Iran for that..

Please Brandon, don't do that because Iran may destroy Saudi Arabia, Emirates and Qatar oil rigs.
Or it may destroy all US military bases in the area or the carrier striker groups. Don't assume you are invincible.
