I 'd like to repurpose the use of the arrows input ( no arrows ) and instead to colour the background for each bar
when the +DMI shows <20-- up to a max of (input ) nnn bars, to save cluttering the plot

alerts on screen
alert for sound

at present, I don't want to use the Sell condition

The information is as follows :

### **Step 1: the Indicators**



#### **1.1 the indicators
MACD
- **Settings:** Fast EMA = 5, Slow EMA = 13, Signal Line = 1.

- Set the parameters to (Fast EMA = 5, Slow EMA = 13, Signal Line = 1).
- Choose the condition: "MACD line crosses above Signal line" for buy signals and "MACD line crosses below Signal line" for sell signals.

#### **1.2 RSI (Relative Strength Index)**

- **Settings:** Period = 5 or 7.

- Set the period to 5 or 7.
- Set the condition: "RSI crosses above 30" for buy signals and "RSI crosses below 70" for sell signals.

#### **1.3 Bollinger Bands**

- **Settings:** Period = 20, Standard Deviation = 2.

- Set the period to 20 and Standard Deviation to 2.
- Use conditions like "Price crosses above the lower Bollinger Band" for buy signals and "Price crosses below the upper Bollinger Band" for sell signals.

#### **1.4 Stochastic Oscillator**

- **Settings:** %K = 5, %D = 3, Slowing = 3.


- Set %K = 5, %D = 3, Slowing = 3.
- Use conditions such as "Stochastic crosses above 20" for buy signals and "Stochastic crosses below 80" for sell signals.

#### **1.5 Volume**

- **Settings:** Default.

- Set the condition: "Volume spikes above average" to confirm strong moves in the market.

### **Defining the Strategy**

Now, we’ll define the rules for your scalping strategy.

#### **Entry Rules**

**Long Entry:**
- MACD line crosses above the Signal line.
- RSI crosses above 30 (indicating oversold conditions are easing).
- Price touches or crosses above the lower Bollinger Band.
- Stochastic Oscillator crosses above 20 from below.
- Volume spikes, confirming the potential for a strong upward move.

**Short Entry:**
- MACD line crosses below the Signal line.
- RSI crosses below 70 (indicating overbought conditions are easing).
- Price touches or crosses below the upper Bollinger Band.
- Stochastic Oscillator crosses below 80 from above.
- Volume spikes, confirming the potential for a strong downward move.

#### ** Exit Rules**

**Take Profit (TP):**
- Set a TP of 5-10 pips, or use the condition: "RSI crosses back towards 50" (middle of the range).

**Stop Loss (SL):**
- Set an SL of 5-10 pips, or place it slightly outside the opposite Bollinger Band.

**Trailing Stop:**
- Set a trailing stop of 3-5 pips to lock in profits as the trade moves in your favor.



#### ** Configure Entry Conditions**

- **Long Entry Condition 1:** "MACD line crosses above Signal line".
- **Long Entry Condition 2:** "RSI crosses above 30".
- **Long Entry Condition 3:** "Price crosses above the lower Bollinger Band".
- **Long Entry Condition 4:** "Stochastic crosses above 20".
- **Long Entry Condition 5:** "Volume spikes above average
Do the same to short entry conditions

Configure Exit Conditions**

- Set the Take Profit and Stop Loss levels.
- Add a condition to exit the trade if RSI crosses back towards 50.
- Add a trailing stop feature with a 3-5 pip buffer.

does anyone ever coded an currency/index overlay indicator that does not repaint, but reset after every day? or even where you can specify a time frame, like reset every 4 hours for example.

every overlay indicator i have found, repainted or goes out of bounds and give zero divide error.

and if someone already coded an indicator like this could he or she share it?

In the input you will choose a start time and an end time.
So choosing 2am-12pm, it will wait until 12pm and then it will have the indicator draw a horizontal line from the top of the highest bar in that time period and another from the low of the lowest bar in that period.
it will do this for today and as many days prior as you choose in the settings (as you'll want to look at past days and see the lines for them days)
What is important is that once price touches one of the lines, that line stops extending (but doesn't dissappear).
You could change the colour of the 'high of range' line and the 'low of range' line in the settings
Maybe an audio alert when it's touched?

So in this example maybe i've set the range from like 2am to 12.30 pm and it might look something like this:

good day dear coders! pls can any coder with a generous heart please help me with an mt5 indicator that calculate the minimum and maximum percentage of the upper shadow and lower shadow respective to that single candle body so it can be able to filter out and indicate a group of candle body with specific candle body length in relation to its upper and lower shadow.
i have search the whole platform cant find anything similar.
