The real challenge is, where you can make more money ? With a prop firm or with a comparable personal broker account ? That is the interesting question I want to answer in the next (unforeseeable) time. Most think the prop thing that's it. But I do no think so, as there are too many restrictions and payout delays. That can hurt a profitable trader. Not speaking of cheaters, who reverse trade with props only. That is a total different story. And in longterm any such person is in trouble of course.

I want to show what is better. I started around second week of August seriously and then slowly taking smaller positions to copy the settings when I just paid 1k for a 200k prop challenge. Only from profits and smalller drawbacks I will scale upt this personal broker account. Everyone should judge himself what is better, therefore it must be shown. A few formulas does not help everyone I learnt here. Examples everybody can understand. This is an interesting challenge. Montygoldy is making more profits in the end with all his efforts or with my personal ? Just to have one question here in the room. Of course with any other normal 200k prop challenge it can be compared too. That is why I post here, not to brag all days myself. I am on the mission, what is real value of any challenge prop firm, like it is designed today. That's it.

Due to strange posts and discussion I think there are some paid people here who are on the side of any one prop firm. I do not care about them. I am here for the traders. I always said that. And i do not hestitate to show all negative aspects aswell from prop firms. It must be said in a fair discussion to be honest. Otherwise it is just a promotion thread for prop firms. The real truth is more important. Because of the well known publicity around this thread is understandable that every (bigger) prop firm want to use it as its marketing show here. But it is not designed for it. This is traders discussion for the trader and not for Prop firm CEOs or any staffs.

You only stumbled across this thread recently, however Tranny Andy has a long history here, and none of it good. From pimping obvious scamming prop firms, making up unbelievable stories about his trading history. Nothing he says can be believed.

That can happen easily with your so called payout when anytime a prop can rug pull and runs away with your hard earned profits.
It happened to Number 1 leaderboard record holder of FTMO, Bernd Skorupinski, too recently, with this newer prop firm Indigo.
$27000 are gone to the toilet or pockets of Indigo owners.

By the way Cryptosurf is also on my ignore list since a long time ago. He posted so often childish comments and shows that he is so angry. We would say on Elitetrader Forum, that is a typical loosing trader. Otherwise there is no reason to be so negative all or most of the time. I do not care what he posts, he is like air, I cannot see it.

aside from trading, your brain is really messed up. you waste so much energy on weird math shit and prop firm rankings. it's like, "who cares" man. if you can make money every day you wouldn't waste time posting weird shit. you'd just trade. that's what I do.

prop firm ripped you off? welcome to the club, move on. prop firm is payinig you, stick with them. it really is that simple.

You are right, I could not care at all. But I am having fun on this discussion. And it feels good when I (try to) help others. Also there is a lot of free time besides the charts on a typical trading day, so I am hanging around on socials a bit too.

Indigo had some payout troubles not much after they started. Never tested them. I hadn't good vibes about them.

I think people should only post results linking it to the prop itself (so that we know which one is it) and to the payouts.

This can be useful for others: to see what a certain prop "allows" in terms of amounts and trading style and if it pays without problem.

Other than that, it should be avoided. A list of positive and negative trades is not useful for props discussion and should be in a trading journal topic. I'm not saying I'm right or wrong. I'm just expressing my opinion about what is (for me) on topic and offtopic.

I can foresee there will be no more "attractive" prop firm coming onboard like MFF or MFFX 200% refund, I guess this thread has run its course.
The only ones out there are FTMO and The5%ers. For futures - Apex Trader Funding (High Risk High Gain) and Darwinex (Low Risk Low Gain).
The new clowns in town, especially those operated by brokers is to make you broke because they only interested in lining their pockets.

there is no question about, when you are consistent good trader since years and you have some money that trading private account is much better and can bring much bigger trading wins in money and in trading behavior.
props are more for the beginner until medium level (or maybe some failed better traders, who did some serious mistakes on their way and did fail and need to restart and have no money).

so for any kind of trader there are different ways, nobody on earth would ever say that prop is better against a private account when you are already long time a consistent good trader and earned already. that is impossible because of opportunity costs. so earning millions is of course faster in private accounts, when you have already some money earned by trading. but most here dont trade for millions and for people without some money (and already a good trading behavior) it can be faster sometimes to start in props (when get paid of course).

and dont forget about the big group of people with wrong character for trading and because of this have maybe in prop better chances, often they cant handle big own amounts and risks or are not so super consistent and so can better wins with inconsistent long-term trading but earn for some months (so prop maybe good). this group is so big.
and there are also the group of people who want have many income streams (this will always be less win in end then concentrated on one and make very big and increase faster ), but this group also dont want be millionaire fastest way , just growing with time and diversify risks often.

so to your text: near always private account trading is better in results long-term when you have already some money and can trade (higher medium level until professional). but for beginner until medium level traders this is not true so often, and guess what most people here are ?

I'm not into drama myself much. But I do think it would be beneficial the more clean and civilized the thread would be. We all do mistakes. Hopefully some learns. But even one can always learn from even that which seems to be chaotic.
It is entertaining I must say to watch monty the prop firm terminator and his journey. That TrAndy wants to prove a point is valid even if the history of his and biased views for a prop firm was sketchy in the past, one must let go and give people a new chance.

But even so as some said trading journals exist for a reason which is a fair point. I personally come here to find prop firm news or ideas, and especially info on which props still do payouts. So seeing the thread being spammed about other topics isnt always the easiest.
