Yes, but an unexpected ceasefire announcement would take out the premium and push gold towards 2269...so this weekend is risky for both ways. Today second and last day of talks

Risk is always present and that is why we use stop losses.
The technicals indicate the future most of the time, without 2508 at the very least I cannot see a major reversal.

You seriously do not need to follow the news. We leave the speculation to those who don't know how to perform a TA. TA is the only thing one needs to make it in this business. Everything else is totally irrelevant. That's just my opinion, however. I believe all of your energy should be used to make the most out of your TA. What should be or should have been is energy and time consuming, unhelpful and it causes us to doubt our TA which is a very big mistake.

I said it before and I'll say it again. If you're not confident in your TA, then you're screwed.

PArtially agree with your statement.
Indeed, it is price we make/lose our money.
But for price movement, there are multiple factors triggering the orders behind the scene.
The "irrelevant" does not define the outcome of the trade, but it increases your confidence in the TA, since we both have seen many A+ setup failed, beacuse of other factors.
Understanding and putting couple irrelevants together that would failed if stand-alone, increase your net probability to win the trade.
More time in the market, does not mean you trade better!

Yes, and promising hourly close above 2461. We need some follow through now...and 2470/75 will come under attack...there we will see where the journey goes in the very short term...at least for today

Statements like this are misleading without context. If you are looking at an M15 chart and trading for 5 pips at a time then yes you are correct.
If you are trading gold , taking positions for days or longer at a time and dont follow the news then you are nuts.
It doesnt matter what your technicals say, if a rocket or two land in Tel Aviv in the next 10 minutes that will decide where gold goes regardless of what you see on the chart.
Technicals are the best we have...but need constant revising, as things change. Sticking to your plan is valid, but recognising when your plan/expectation is obsolete is just as important.
Its all just one persons opinion

Exactly...it is not important just to take out certain price levels, for me 2461 critical, but the way how it occurs....and that move was impulsive....no sleepy Joe attempt...therefore very promising for bulls...good luck to all
