As much as I'm personally disapointed in how th risk engine can grab your nuts and squeeze the life out of your trading, at the end of the day, it's my own fault. No big deal you can always reset and do it the right way like pipmaster. Of course it would be nice to have more concrete information with more specifics about a realistic timeframe for regaining access to leverage.

Having said that, today's email from DZero outlines the quintessential scenario that I envision for this model.

This guy has a good paying stable job (an Indian dude who is a software engineer, shocking), a solid trading system, and an obsessive mindset for consistency. This is exactly how a trader should envision the DZero endeavor. NO RUSH, NO FUSS. If you need/expect quick profits then you're in thr wrong game.

His trading results aren't anything over the top or unattainable by any stretch of the imagination. A 4.5% drawdown, with modest profits. He recieved 8 straight allocations and reached Gold status within a year. Allocations now are guaranteed for 6 months as long he maintains the Gold standard. At the end of the day, this isn't about the allocations, it's about the investor capital. Once that ball gets rolling the sky is limit as long as you keep stringing together 2-3% or more per month in profits. Do most traders fail longterm with thiis model? Of course they do just like every other model including trading your own capital. But this guy's results highlight that you don't have to crush the world to get a nice gig rolling.

But but but prop firms offer so much more profit potential (assuming you don't get rug pulled) and DZero has a subscription. This guy wil get paid about $1000 if he earns 3% this month. Wow, so what a paultry $1000 after a whole year? That's about 2 years in subscription fees the same as the cost of two 100K account challenges. Challenges which the majority fail. Time is really your only investment. Sure, you could make way more in the short term with props but a long term relationship is much more appealing to me especially with a model that has a far superior risk mitigation setup and that will likely hold up long term.

Spreads are decent espcecially during rollover. Nothing ouutrageous.

See post #38553 where I commented on my SL being slipped 23 pips during the ISM manufacturing news print. Play stupid games win stupid prices but I was still surprised as that's usually not a super volatile event.

Couldn't have said it better myself. You can trade with the tightest of risk and target 0.1-0.2% per day. The risk engine will mst likely have you earning 0.3-0.4% per day. Very realistic results, of course it will take longer.
What was everyone doing BEFORE the get rich quick 90% profit split, flip the account in 30 days model.
If that never existed, traders would be looking at Darwinex as the best thing ever. We were spoiled and 99% failed that model anyway

This guy is only 10 months in and he's got a solid foundation. Once investors see other investors then it should help feed the fire.

Also, if you do some rough estimates, his profits from the allocations have more than paid for all subscriptions for many many months from the first couple of months so the subscription costs becomes a moot point. And he's a software engineer so I doubt he sits at his computer for hours on end. So yeah, time is your investment but if you absolutely love trading as I do then I don't even consider trading as work anyways.

Here's another average Joe not worrying about subscription fees 4 months into it. Roughly getting paid $600-800 so far depending on when exactly the allocations were given. Not getting rich quick but also not worrying about a paultry $40/month. Ok I promise I'm done tootin' other people's horns.

its not a-book and no b-book style (what is fast execution ,but short or very long time in brokers book), darwinex gets first trade with their LP (over their prime broker of course), and then give it to you ( only when they got the trade filled, so they dont hold a book against you - of course in theorie only for 100 % sure, because in practise (but in this case with lower chance) they could have other company as LP inside all their LP from prime broker and so have indirect book, but this you will not know).

because your order was a stop order (or?), it was done as market order after triggered, and this kind of real market order fills take longer time (against a or b book), so higher slippage.... but on other side real volume on interbank market is hit with much bigger market then futures by many times and your own broker dont hold position against you).

Already did. Boring and useless.

Just stay away from news and it won't be of any concern to me. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. I've got better things to do with my time then look into the inner workings of how my trades are filled.

Hi guys I am a disappointed funded trader (100k)with myfundedfx and am looking to switch as soon as possible. They have restrictive rules like bans on trading during news and a "consistency" rule that limits daily profits to 50% of previous wins. Day after day they invent something to ban your profits. Do you have similar restrictions with other firms? I am looking for a serious one.

no , i mean i have read it (sorry, i am bad in english grammar sometimes, i produce wrong meaning by write not enough words ) . thats why wanted to say , why this slippage happened and can be normal way happened in news because of their filling with LP first.

No worries your english is just fine.

Bad fills, bad spreads, slippage and all of the stuff that happens when trading certainly affects a trader's bottom line. Unfortunately there is only so much we can do to mitigate that problem. I've always been to lazy and uninterested to learn more about LPs etc.

My main problem when trading has always been a lack of discipline. I could have the perfect infrastructure for trading but at the end of the day the damage done to my trading accounts from my mental issues is infinitely greater than any other aspect of trading.

Not a good day yesterday tried to force pass the challenges n lost 8 evals yesterday.......on the other hand 150K Pa on pace....

1. Probably will reset failed evals next week... coz. its cheaper....


Today i think i made a mistake on this PA... i accidentally traded news.... i mean 25min after market open i traded my usual size with usual target forgot to check the 10am news and my target was 300$ but i made 650$ coz of the spike.... Hoping this wont get me denied

you have the car, you now need to learn how to be the driver for can drive this car so that you survive and get your goals possible with this car.

you should design the perfect trading plan for youself, so you define exactly what you do with the wins of each trade, how to act with the losses.....
so all is planed already in front without emotions so that you never have to think when emotions in trading start... you then only take care about follow the plan and dont care about "loss or win day" any more, only about "did you follow the trading plan or not", this will then decide for good day or bad day, because all was planed already before what to do in what event and when to reevaluate situations.

if you cant do it, you can train it. if you cant do this, you could team up with an other person to check each other. and many more possibilities, ... so many ways.... all easy to do but you need to find what will work for you.

I think that this order is in line with your previous trades and it should not be a problem, but with these guys you never know. Have you get an approval on your previous payouts?
Yesterday I traded 15 min after the news and immediately got 2 disconnects. I scalp and this is crucial for my trading and focus. I have been sarcastic on their server when they blamed QT this time and asked for a official statement from Rithmic and QT. My posts were deleted and today I am banned from the channel.

hmmm, I don't know what to make of it yet. It's interesting that after the 15 days are over, it doesn't care anymore about # of days. For me, I know it's gonna take a consistent 2% return to get over 75 and in the high 80s ranking, making a modest allocation of 100k probably by year end. Also starting in the middle of the month I think makes this worse because your monthly return looks low, then it takes longer to build your ranking than if you started on the 1st of a month. I don't understand the logic of what makes him elite. his monthly profit varies widely between 1% and 7%, so he definitely trades differently than me; I can't have such a wide variance, it's always +/- 2% with me, according to my self definition of what consistency is. I think I'm a low volatility trader
