-Most casino's offer games that are rigged in the house's favor. As long as they pay what is owed to customers that win, who cares what other people decide to do with their own money? What business is that of yours or anyone else's?

Most traders that are trading with these remote prop firms understand the risks involved, even if they are not fully willing and/or able to accept it after they get burned. To each their own; live and let live.

-You do not care about Monty. You only care about being right. Even if Monty loses more than he takes out, that is his business, not yours. Should you also tell him how much of his wages he should allocate to trading?

i can understand you and other side too.
when i see Karl and Quickly writing sometimes mistakes and look like dont have very much experience in retail trading i try to correct them sometimes (but they learn very slow, so often i give up), but in many answers they are also correct and look like they know some parts (so they look like at medium Knowledge level or more on fund knowledge level where you are not very experienced in retail trading a lot and know some parts even wrong when you dont trade big private accounts).

by trying to show other their mistakes its not so easy to see that often other one dont want to be saved and want find his own way - i have to see this also sometimes more early ... and in case of monty i would also say like you he is on good way (and i say this by would do it different in many parts to grow faster, but i am a different person too with total different experience). he looks like to plan first and follow the plan, change plans to new situations ... calculates a lot.... i dont see here a problem at all at the moment.

This thread is a community of like-minded individuals sharing FIRST HAND experience with these props.
Why on earth someone who has NO FIRST HAND experience dealing with the service at hand nor any interest in ever using it would continue to post is completely beyond me.
Nobody cares, nobody is listening and yet he continues on and on and on

I will say what i want to say about anything and anyone as it relates to the topic of this thread.

The haters that do not understand my educated and experienced point of view and my feeling for prop firms addiction can rebute me intellectually.

If you can not rebute me intellectually and will keep spewing crap out of your mouths, my only message to these wanna be "traders" is

-Sharing knowledge and wisdom is a good thing. But Karl and Quickly are worse than Jehovah's Witnesses, because they not only come to your house unsolicited and unannounced, pretending to be your friend, trying to impose their own belief systems onto you, but then they belittle and condescend if/when you reject their ideals while ignoring legitimate questions and logical rebuttals.

i think they have some insights in some topics, but really would be necessary to look at their life and experience with trading, funds..... to understand why they say something, why they cant learn from some of their mistakes, why they cant accept truth sometimes, ... always there is a reason behind such behavior. and when you know the reason you can more easy understand the words ... because we dont know why they say it, its hard to judge easy (for me it looks like they dont trade big retail accounts and so dont have big experience in retail market, fund account are so different in many ways of regulation and strategies and trading objects... in billion size even more then in million size...).

thats why i like their comments and posts, but i always look at it from a fund perspective (with lower retail knowledge) and not a retail way, so some makes sense and is no mistake what would be wrong in retail framework.

-It is not a matter of not understanding. Most here understand what they say. It is how they present that is the problem. They know that most here do not share their opinions, yet they persist with their unsolicited condescension anyways, even when their claims are flimsy at best. It seems to me that they would rather inflate their own egos and put others down than actually help people.

I have made a lot of comments recently that I do not like to make. But I do not like bullies. I think that it is enough, so I will take a break.

ok, thats true. they look like they are no traders at all sometimes (or beginner level), because they have extrem problems with correct their mistakes when get show them. they just run away both and hide, its number one mistake of a trader to cant accept being wrong (and they show this to often).
in funds that bad trading behavior you can often survive, because you dont trade like in retail and dont need to know so much or be so good like in retail trading, but as retail traders i would really tell them they should learn a lot more basics before risk own money or it will end bad for them. or they should go to investing topic (buy and hold stocks) because then they can do even with this behavior. but this is what they look like from outside,... so maybe they only write when have very bad days and thats why this problems or whatever other reason's.

I am not joining a prop firm/bucket shop now, Trading is not only a business now but also a great hobby and as I was part of the bucketshop ownership, I am still interested in this topic and sort of lingering, seeing what will happen to the bucketshops in the future.

Secretly, I was very close to opening prop firm, but there is no reason or need for it anymore.

When I was partner in the bucket shop in the 90's, I seen addicted people lose their pensions in 2-3 weeks.(400K) No one was encouraging this behaviour and "traders" wrote and brought their tickets to Buy/Sell Spot Currencies office window, and these people were told to "take it easy", but that is all that was done to discourage the behaviour.

Prop Firms now entice people with cheap offers, etc...and based on my experience and about Monty, I just had to speak up. Hopefully it gave someone a pause.

Yes if people are addicted to props probably time to stop. At least stop to re-test and practice. But do so sensibly.
