the prop pay for the streamer, not a general trading winner. its a marketing fee for them in this case.
if its a winner without many people recognize him, its just a cost without value (and they are more interested in avoiding).

so for streamers can be paid with amounts or actions that are not possible for others because of this marketing effect.

so be a streamer helps more then be a good trader. but for most you need be both. it is little different game against only be good trader in private account.

maybe best solution is: as a trader find a streamer to work together if prop is necessary for your success.

Unlike FX CFD’s, small range tick scalping has been norm for futures. Especially before they introduced micro’s a few years back.

The opening range trade is and old strategy. It’s not uncommon for price to bounce around for a while before breaking out. Some days it may stay within a small range till close.

-I understand, but trading that way without a stop-loss seems very questionable to me.

I have been watching several traders on Youtube lately, to see how they are doing with Apex, and I cannot believe how some of them are trading. Most of them seem to have no real clue about where the market is heading, and are just hoping to get lucky.

this sounds extrem like latency arbitrage. but can be other methods too without more information's.

Well it is consistent NOT wind fall type strategy. If you look all his profits it is almost 200-300$ per day per account. Also he is replicating on his one of the live accounts. So it is not prohibited. It is not one time buy stop sell stop during news.

(to often same with you, i dont know whats wrong with you and your trading!)

learn reading carefully, or you do mistakes over mistake again and again. and then stand there like a fool again and again!

So you admit you pulled that idea out of your ass without really thinking about.

You're making the assumption that one can manually latency arb the Rithmic feed shortly after the open, on one of the most liquid of instruments. And then not only do it once, but repeatedly to reach multiple payouts with APEX.

If you think that's plausible then you really don't know what you're talking about.

-Learning how to properly discern market direction will only benefit traders. It seems that many traders rely too heavily on hope-based strategies (hoping that price will retrace briefly; hoping that price will bounce off of a support line; hoping that price will break through a resistance area etc.).

If I could say something about that, it would be for traders to use multiple, higher time-frames to gauge market direction, then use the lower time-frames for entry points. Let the market show you where it wants to go; do not try to impose your will onto the market or rely on hope etc..

How to gauge market direction? Pick your poison. Moving average, RSI, MACD etc.. You could easily develop an entire strategy using only RSI divergence, under the right circumstances. Do not feel that you must use the default parameters, either. I use period 3 RSI across all time-frames and the way that I utilize MACD doesn't even make sense.

Find a market that responds well to indicators. NAS respects indicators very well, especially during specific time-blocks. Figure out which time-block you are most comfortable with and become intimate with how it moves. Do not trade outside of that time-block (unless/until you are ready to do so; or never at all, if you can get away with it).

How to see time-blocks? Study the market. You will see that the market moves differently at different times. As different money moves the market, it will take on a new personality. One dead giveaway for a time-block change, is when you see sudden volatility spikes (or volatility reduction). It may not apply to all time-blocks, all of the time, but it can help when trying to determine when each block starts. Once you are confident that you have identified a shift change, then use an indicator to highlight that entire block.

Some time-blocks might give more favor to channels, trend lines, support & resistance etc., while others will see indicators heavily dominating (or a combination). Different time-blocks might give more favor or respect to different time-frames as well. This is a key point to understand.

This is all very basic stuff, but took me years of trading to realize. If I had to guess, I would bet that many traders often feel frustrated and begin to doubt themselves when their strategy works sometimes, but then does not work other times, without even realizing why. So they begin strategy-jumping or trying to force their strategy to work at all times by putting more and more rules and restrictions on it etc..

If you narrow your focus on a single instrument, then even further on a specific session, then even further on a specific time-block within that session, then even further on a specific strategy within that time-block etc., you allow yourself to become laser-focused and deeply familiar, which could give you the edge that you need.

If you are a long-term/swing trader, then this probably doesn't apply to you. Hopefully, you already know how to determine where the market is going.

Experienced traders will know what I am saying here and will understand the value of it. Newbie traders, I can only hope will listen and be willing to apply these ideas to their own trading in some way.

Alright guys yolo'ed my way through the fundingtraders margin call and lost the account. Which honestly i have no regrets. Already pulled 4.5k net out of then coz i only purchased 2 x200k out of which they paid back 500$ on each account when they reduced to 100k. So 5.5k payout - 1000$ = Net 4.5k profit in a month time from challenge to payout.

Now i only have ftmo in forex. SO completely transitioning to futures now coz i am loving the scalping, gains and MOST OF ALL CHEAPER CHALLENGE FEES.

So I am officially done with forex challenges and not a single dime will spend on forex from now onwards.

GOing to a get some free accounts from propfirmmatch which i'll play around with (meaning yolo'ing).

Currently have myFundedfutures challenge going on once done will move to topstep.

absolutely last few weeks were pure frustration for me one thing after another. Yep apex 30k already applied on friday waiting for it to be approved.
Now i have minimal drawdown so i'll be yolo'ing them as well. Coz i have already passed 20 more which are dormant right now. Still have 20 more days till they charge me with a renewal.

I undertand you decision but I still think that you are leaving a lot of money in the table giving up forex props.
You got very bad experiences but we must to look at it objectively and realize that you were not very lucky in the ones you picked.
There's several ut there where you still could extract 20 or 30K with your trading style.
