SL in all orders affects everybody. Having margin at 100% one has to be a lot leveraged. I wonder if so many people does that.
Definitely I would prefer option 2 because doesn't affect me at all.

What do you mean by that? still more affordable than FTMO. Maybe it is more expensive than 5er or other Twitter prob firms, but right now reputation is more important than pricing, and if they do well with that, then the pricing is not a problem. I think right now in this industry, where dramas happen almost every day (refusing payout, scammers,..), we need some game changers who know what they do in the legal field, have the needed experiences of running a business, and deliver a sustainable service to traders. looks like they just sent everyone back to square 1 so they have some time to collect challenge fees before people start getting funded and requesting payouts again, i imagine if their 'relaunch' fails to get new customers buying challenges, they will permanently close within a few weeks

I agree. The TFT brand is burned and they need to have some initial cash to fulfill those initial payouts that you're talking about and start rebuild the brand confidence. They really need to have this cash upfront because they can't rely in new challenges to do that. Only an idiot is going to purchase a challenge there in the short term.

In the meantime E8 changed again the news rule for the 4th or 5th time in a few days.
It's not more 8 hours for swing traders. It's something a bit vague like if that aligns with normal style.


Please note, that if your Stop Loss or Take Profit orders are executed within the 10-minute period (5 Minutes before and 5 minutes after) immediately before or after the event, any profits earned during this time will be subject to removal, without any account violation.
Trading based on news is NOT permitted, encompassing strategies like directional trading, straddles, strangles, capitalizing on the initial surge following news releases and initiating trades just before or after the news to potentially benefit from market movements.

If your trading aligns with your usual pattern and strategy, this rule will not impact you.

Lowering leverage would be better than either option.

Well, I can tell you from the discord chats that I'm in some can't wait for them to return. I think they have a good chance of making it as long as they don't come up with the same crazy rules we are seeing now some will go back. I don't think I'll be one of those idiots but some are ready.

5 min before or after is alright, but 8 hours for swing traders was bonkers.

I agree but I would prefer something more objective, not so subjective. I would say 4 hours was more than OK.

Anyway, and again, hit people with real market conditions and no news rule would ever be needed. People would be sodomized once, twice and at the third attempt they would have learnt the lesson. That's what happens with people in real brokers, in the real world, out of these videogames parties.

Guys, what's your take on Maven prop firm? Are they reliable? Are they paying? Trust Pilot ratings can sometimes fail to present the true picture. Your opinion will be highly appreciated.

Any one scalping NQ Emini futures? This thing is Crazy. One contract can make you $500 or make you lose $500 with in seconds... with in the same 1 min candle.
Moves too fast. I would compare this to GBPJPY of forex.

What is the best for scalping between S&P, Dow, Crude Oil, Gold and NQ Futures in your opinion?

I trade dow, nas and S&p.....trade micros.....plenty of movement to make money when it goes your way, small enough to cut losses quick.
My favorite trade is 2-3 micros S&P....$10-15/point.....$2.50-$3.75/tick. Get multiple accounts...30-40 ticks makes you $100 times how many accounts you have.

The NQ and the Dax are certainly the most volatile indices, and therefore their futures are matchingly volatile.

This depends, obviously, on one’s position-size.

NQ is $5 per tick, and MNQ $0.50 per tick (but with MNQ the commissions are ridiculously high, compared to the tick-value, which would naturally put almost anyone off anything approaching "scalping").

IMO at least 95% (and probably 99%) of the very, very few successful independent/retail traders who are scalping for a living are trading either CL or ES, and I know a few who have largely switched from CL to ES over the last 5 years or so.

I don’t think I’ve ever actually heard of anyone being consistently profitable trading anything else (apart from HFT trading-floor specialists with special hardware and software and a desk next door to the exchange, of course!).

My experience may be atypical, though: all the independent/retail scalpers I've ever known are former institutional traders, but certainly none of those (myself included) would ever dream of trying to scalp NQ or MNQ independently!!
