I've been with them since last November. Pretty much all futures prop firms require you to be flat at end of day, so intraday scalps is the only option. Payout denials have been non existent.

We've been back and forth with Dylan (E8) in twitter and he reasoned our points of not violating the account, "only" remove profits.

This is the new phrasing.

Please note, that if your Stop Loss or Take Profit orders are executed within the 10-minute period (5 Minutes before and 5 minutes after) immediately before or after the event, any profits earned during this time will be subject to removal, without any account violation.

Thats unfortunate but right now all the firms are looking for any kind of reason (which can be nonsense sometimes) to not give account to profitable trader.

Are you referring to the 40% max use of margin per set up? Or something else. With 1:125 on fx you can still trade large enough to pass in a day, especially since they allow news.

Yes this one. For FX its leverage dpendendt but 125 leverage is insanity. For CFD's the result is more realistic.

In all honesty are futures props any different? Do we really believe that if Joe Schmo from Kalamazoo buys 20 x $50k accounts and somehow passes the challenges that Apex puts up 20 x $50k real funded accounts to copy into from his demos?

there are probably a handful of real, legit props in the world (like Maverick and others) and everything else is just pushing around money. that's why they kick everyone out who shows they can trade, while hosting poker tournaments on Discord to give away free challenges.

Well, they are doing something right, whatever it may be.....paid out 25 million in March.

More and more great traders like montygoldy are joining Apex. If payouts are only from challenge fees, Apex will have problems sooner or later.

The difference is futures vs forex I'm assuming. it's regulation vs the Wild West. I still think the majority of props are unsustainable, which is why you want the personal accounts, but maybe futures prop have some sort of edge to them. who knows.

Atleast not now they are growing crazy and atleast until i get my piece of the pie. My general opinion is the structure and rules in place helps the firm filter out gamblers so the actuall long term profitable trader can survive 3 months of payout. After that they can easily copy that traders trade in live accounts. I dont know the statistics but people hardly get 1 or 2 payouts out of their PA accounts whereas the profitable ones taking out huge chunk so its balanced in my eyes. In the end its all regulated so no nonsense or BS.
Plus i am not sure how true is this, isn't it every futures firms says they put a profitable on live account??

Not really. Not all of them. Tradeday states you can either remain with sim account or request live and pay exchange fees. None of the Futures Firms make claims of copying or live accounts when they aren't. They are pretty upfront that you're being paid from fee income. That's the biggest divergence from how FX Prop firms are/were ran. We all knew it was all BS.

Yep, that's the solution to avoid being unlucky of hitting it.
Anyway it's not ideal because swing trading means we don't have to be baby seating our positions all day long, sometimes several times a day, specially if I'm not running a lot of risk with my small positions.

Alright update after 6 days ftmo kyc approved…. Now time to make big bucks … i am planning to aim for prime status … so i wont be withdrawing until 4% profit hit

Have you failed a challenge with them before? I don't think you can become prime if you've failed a challenge, bit harsh i think,rules me out.

for failed rule is within 3 months.. so 4% 4 payouts and no failed challenge within 3 months.

these were my first challenges with ftmo. Thats why i left ftmo for the end and played with all nonsense firms to gain experience.
