Exactly what I was about to say. As a side note to others, micro's only became available around 2020. The barrier to entry was lowered as a result.

Your trade was very good. With other props like ACG you would have passed the first evaluation.

Pricing at Apex is also strange, it seems that 50 K account is the best choice as the threshold is 2500 and profit target is 3000. Almost 1:1 ratio.

If one buys 10 of 50 K accounts then that person will have 25K threshold and 30 K profit target. Let's say it takes 5 months to reach 30K, trading with less risk almost 1% target a trading day. The cost of the accounts will be 10 accounts * 33,4$ * 5 months = 1670 $ .

On the other side if you buy account at ACG: 200K account for 700$. Profit target = 26000$ , dd = 10000 max dd = 20000 .

If we buy 8 50 K accounts at Apex to equal the threshold to max dd -> cost 8* 33,4*5= 1336 $


So Apex cost almost double. Apex is more interesting when you go over the threshold. But then again you can't trade too large as they have 30 % rule, but still there is room to go large.


But is Apex more trustable? Others will start to complain if you win 25 K. With Apex you can go for winning maybe more then 100K over longer period, will they be ok with this, or is it the same story.

That's why one needs to treat any prop firm as ATM. So once you reach 2600$ threshold why not to withdraw with 2K and rinse repeat or worst case pass another challenge. Any prop firm which pays now doesn't mean they will pay in future. Why to keep buffer?

This not true. But yeah, for scalpers (few seconds to couple of minutes) , futures are better .

ICMarket look always good in terms of spread try to put 20 lots (1 future equivalent) or 100 lots (5 future equivalent) and observe slippages. In future there will not even single tick slippage under normal market conditions.
Execution always sucks on ICMarkets even on highly liquid pairs like EUR/USD if you put 10 lots always slips.

Exactly, these firms shouldn’t be regarded as long term personal accounts. They should be regarded as atm’s to fund ones personal account.

Even in brick and mortar prop firms, once someone became consistently profitable they typically parted ways. No reason to split with the house any longer.

Lets agree to dissagree.
This "slipping to hell" words costed me much income from MFF.
In no news condition ICM is the best of all brokers around. Or at least less worse then other brokers. At futures props the spread is better of course , but one needs to be very disciplined with entries and TPs to benefit from lower spread long term because of trailling DD.

With how Apex works one could try to get 100 K out of it in 1 - 2 year period. So that you can easily fund your own account and to remain independent of prop firms with challenges.

That's the rational approach, no doubt, but you're prone to violate more account with lower buffer (or have to limit a lot the risk and, thus, the profit). If you violate more account I doubt they will allow you to keep doing that after dozens or hundreds of failed accounts with withdraws because that's gaming the payout system.

Key with APEX is multiple accounts and allows you to withdraw everything (2K with 2.6K target for 50K account) when you reach threshold. If you are trading only one account there are better prop firms like Bulenox etc which allows you to trade news etc. But none will allow you to withdraw till buffer.
I look each 50K apex account as 2K account. Spend 250$ (4 * 34 (25% pass rate and 80% discount) + 85$ PA fees) and get 2K. Do it for 20 and rinse and repeat.
Even if I reach 2K target once in 5 times. I am at 100% profit of spent amount.

I know one trader (youtuber) with 200+ blown PA accounts and withdrew almost 125K. Key is not making all profits in ONE DAY. Making 200-300$ stay under radar and withdraw.

just keep fiddling with it, you’ll get it. You’ll see the learning curve is not steep at all. It’s “all in your head” — it’s the same animal if you trade NQ

Noob question: If my equity reaches the trailing drawdown on an Apex or a Bulenox Rithmic account (as in failed), will I receive a notice email or get stopped out immediately?

stopped out i guess..i never received any email... i personally went to apex dashbaord cancel the subscription.
