Hi does anyone know of coding to add to an EA which opens a trade at a certain price level - I want the EA to also at the same time to set a buy/sell hedging stop order "x" number of pips away. The EA is a mean reversion EA so one never knows if price will go back into the range or break out. In this case it is nice to sometimes hedge.

Hey Traders,

I am wondering if anyone might be able to add a push notification on this Fiji Trend indicator. I find it very useful, but would love something that pushes to my phone, so I don't have to sit in front of my screen so long. Thank you in advance to anyone able to help me out with this.

I don't have much experience with HA Candles, but they don't show real prices, so we can't get into a position where the HA Candles picture suggests. However, I don't remember the closed HA Candle to repaint. And that indicator only plots what HA Candles would show.
So, this is not a matter of opinion.
It is the matter of fact.

I had a closer look at the code of the EA, and no, I am not going to do this.
This is so messed up that recoding this to MQL5 would take maybe weeks. not to mention debugging.
This is not a job for me.
Maybe you will find some other enthusiast who really has nothing else to do.

I think this one is working now as it should with the alerts, but it takes a long time for the price to get to those levels, so I leave further testing to You!

A question for the coders:

So, repainting indies with a signal such as an arrow, tend to erase the false signal and print a new one.
Can a line of code be added or some standard configuration that can be made for them to leave the false signal in place and print a new signal upon repainting?
Or one would need to overhaul the whole code to get that?

Also, along the same lines, can the repaints be tracked?
For example, if the repaints could be tracked, one could derive from the numbers that indy X repaints on average 3 times per signal and its most repaints have been 10 times in a given period.
That way, you could conclude that the 10th repaint signal is a pretty reliable one cause it happens only once a months that it repaints for the 11th times, therefore one should only consider 10th+ signal to be reliable.

If the arrow is deleted it is entirely because the coder made it so. It can just as well be staying. And I have often seen indicators where it was not deleted.

You cannot use statistics to say that a certain frequent signal will not be repainting. It is all about how the signal is developing and it is not possible to foresee that.

You could tell that historically 2 out of 10 signals worked and then you lose money on the 8 other signals. But even that will be most unreliable - like if you put your money on RED in a roulette game. You can win 2 in a row and next you can lose 20 times.

But my advice is: Stay out of repainting indicators. They look so nice when you watch the history, but in real time they are giving loads of false signals. You will lose money.

I might not have understood you entirely. But still, the thought of the signal number 11 is reliable will be totally roulette. Like if you toss a coin it is totally free of earlier tosses. That is a mathematical fact.

DT-ZZ It is zz and we know it repaints likes the rest.
This actually marks LL and HH until reverse, so it's not really a signal generator per say but serves as an example.

In the graph one instance counts 23 and the other 16 in a span of a month.
If I had an ea that was set to enter after 20th repaint, I don't think that would be a roulette casino move.
One heavily calculated move you have been waiting for for months can't be regarded as a gambler move.

There are plenty of non-repainting indies to use instead but I'm just trying to reign in the repainting ones by putting a number to their repainting because......I can?
Oh, I can't cause I don't code.
Can't be done cause coders don't think it is worth it.
Happy repainters will repaint freely forever cause no one wants to bother finding a reasonable number for their repainting behavior.

Here is another one: Quantum.
There is a reason to the repainting as it marks the consecutive HH/LL, so they are not mysterious signals coming out of an unknown logic.
I can't see why an indicator wouldn't be able to count the # of consecutive signals or use other metrics to produce even more analyzable data. for example, how often did we get 15 in a row of HH in the last month? What is the sum total of all HH vs LL?
This maybe implemented within the code or if code not available, an indy that could detect arrow and the related info about it.

I will still say it is gambling - pure gambling. But you want to use that method - well that is no problem. Manual trading is the word. Most traders are trading manually, so it can be done. You just make a mark in your log for every false signal. Then trade the signal when it is time.

Then - after a periode of trading you can present your log and your account to proof that you are right.

In the meantime you can learn to code. When I started in 1980, I was in a class that mainly had elder ladies and they were able to learn simple coding. So can you. MT4 is the most simple language there is - well HTML is simpler, but anyway. If you want I can point you in the direction of a good Youtube teacher. You will be able to make your first EA within days.
