Some traders can strategically trade news events and be consistently profitable. Having rules that adversely impact the majority is not the best approach. Firms have a choice, as to whether or not they want to honor trades during this 4-minute window.

For those that use this approach, it is no secret why they honor losing trades but not winning trades. Even worse, are the firms that ban you for doing something that their platform allows in the first place while also not giving any sort of warning about such events.

So, not overly unreasonable for traders to speak about such rules unfavorably.

Those who want to play with system can reverse trade without news. Not sure how they can prevent it. How they are going to prevent reverse trading with only 1 lot?

They had to suspend tradovate acct selling bec of massive demand. Tradovate couldn’t keep up with the acct details generation. Apex casino is thriving with all the US peeps from forex props,

So why not create rules adequate to that instead of being lazy and dumb and penalizing me, with my 2 or 3 lots on 200K account, just because I had the bad luck of hitting a TP / SL during the +/- 2m ?

To start they could provide less leverage because a 1:100 leverage in a 200K account with a 20K DD is 20.000.000 over 20.000, which means a 1:1000.

All that shows that companies don't know to to manage their risk.

When I started trading, I started with cTrader, I really liked their modern UI, and SL & TP drag and drop feature which show the PIPS & CURRENCY VALUE quiet useful at the beginning of my trading journey. I never ever went with MT4 because of its old looking interface. I thought who use this shit software at first. But later I also started with MT4 and eventually come to know its features and you can modify MT4 to your own taste whereas in cTrader you cannot change it like in MT4 you can remove all the useless options from the toolbar, you can put all the indicators you want to put on your chart to make it look like your taste and preferences.
Later I found that there are very less indicators for cTrader and a lot a lot a lot of indicators for MT4 and the community that use MT4 is way bigger.
I also found later that cTrader use more RAM and STORAGE than MT4. MT4 is much powerful than cTrader. MT4 has its own strategy testor, EA trading which cTrader lacks. Who wants more functionality and ability to modify the software they go with MT4 and who are new and like modern UI go with cTrader and who don't likes to play with things and they are happy with whatever given to them and they don't need any indicators.

Once the forex props add futures to their arsenal and offer better pricing and no trailing drawdown, plus mt5, I think they can get a chunk of apex’s market share.
