I don't like any of the platforms. I have a lot invested in MT4 / MT5 with custom indicators and EAs I have written for a semi-automated system. It took years to create. I don't think it could even be done on other trading platforms except maybe TradingView, which I keep hearing is really MetaQuotes.

with near any good broker you can use fix API. maybe a solution for you too, because you can then connect to near any broker with your own platform.

You may look into AMP Futures which allow to trade futures in MT5.

But this is a real futures broker, real market and not the videogames Apex, topstep, etc.

Thanks for your reply & shared optimism. Rest assured as the situation evolves & more information comes to light, I will keep abreast of the developments referenced in parallel such that we're ahead of the curve as a collective.

It is as I stated to Trader PipMaster77 last week that he should not lose hope.

This is the ethos after all of a wonderful platform such as Forex Factory. It facilitates borderless dialogue for Traders to advance their common desires in unison.

what is wrong in your head?

on one side you write you have experience and knowledge and worked in funds (what often is missed in your answers), on other side you write total simple beginner mistakes and repeat this bullshit.

to teach you at least the basic:
- in short term trading currencies only idiots use futures (maybe will change with CME 2024 attempt to merge futures and interbank currency market, but until now it is total useless to use futures for many possible trading activity).
- and there are areas where futures are better (for some long term strategies , for big amounts traded in index or commodities'.....).

but what you write here is pure fantasy without smallest wisdom behind. dont act like a uneducated old man and teach yourself with this basics, you cant repeat this beginner mistake again and again and total distract beginners with this.

if you really cant find for yourself the reasons why you are wrong, i can help you or many other.... but really... learn this fact and stop repeat this until we speak objective about this , so you see you are wrong from beginning!

and its really a beginner mistake you do here again and again (nothing subjective mistake where you maybe could be right with smallest chance), why you do it again and again??? i never met someone working in a fund who dont know about such basic facts.

Yes, you keep hearing BS, and you keep listening to it, which is also part of the problem for many people.

You can attach TradingView to Tradovate (with one or two clicks!) and use it at loads of different futures funding companies.

If you can’t get well and safely funded that way, you can’t at all.

But if you can, then you’re genuinely funded in a genuine, honest, transparent, market by an honest business that genuinely wins when you win and genuinely WANTS you to win, not by crooks looking for ways to avoid paying you!!

Hundreds of people do it successfully with TradingView. Nothing to do with MT at all!

But you need to START by ignoring all the BS posted here by ignorant, opinionated, prejudiced people who have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about at all.

You really are clueless. There have been many cases of fraud by Futures brokers and the the CFTC did nothing. Perfect example is when CL went negative, trapping traders in exchange freezes. Some made millions, some were made whole and losses were waived. AMP was sued and had the case was dropped to many enraged clients. CFTC stated so much it was a civil issue and washed their hands of it.

Again spouting nonsense. Many are finding that using Tradingview with Tradovate adds latency in executions. Tradingview is great for charting, TA, etc. But for live trading its still not ready for prime time.

I have used TradingView for live trading and I can't tell you the GRIEF I had for six months attempting it. It is a TERRIBLE platform for automation and live trading. I can't stress enough how many trades were never executed at all, or executed HOURS late at times, or their system went completely down for half a day, etc., etc.. I worked my way up to the highest, premium subscription price they had to get better customer service (I think it was $500/mo or $6,000/yr or something like that) and it was so bad that they gave me a full refund 6 months later for my constant nagging them over bugs I kept finding for their programmers to fix. It is wonderful for charting, absolutely, it is absolute crap for automation of live trading. However, this was a few years ago now, maybe they've improved it greatly.

I'll add, Metaquotes has even worse tech support. I have bugs and cases open on their forum that haven't been fixed in 5+ years. Someone just replied to one of them last week and thanked me for documenting it because they were going out of their mind trying to figure out why something wasn't working that I had suggested a workaround for many years ago, LOL!

As I hear it then AaronPriest have used both MT and Tradingview as a programmer. So before I believe anything from Quickly and Karlsmart. Let me hear if you have that experience too?

I have programmed in MT4 for about 10 years. I don't believe that the programming language of Tradingview can meassure to MT4. And if AaronPriest tells about the very bad execution, then you guys must show that it is not true. Because I guess that you know about it?? And have tried it yourself?? Or what??
MetaTrader 4 - so many advantages.
